#Particularities about gear mod text entries

EDIT:
It seems that, when setting the text size to largest, the scaling factor used in determining the horizontal size / width of the item details window (maybe it is also the same in other windows though, such as in the temporary effects window [maybe this issue is the same one / similar to the one mentioned here: https://discord.com/channels/162979076695523331/1453217882526842913]) is incorrect, resulting in mod text being clipped. The longer the mod text, the more clipped it is.
The scaling does occur, but it's just the multiplicative factor that seems to be wrong, or the maths behind it.

ORIGINAL:
See posted picture.

When the text size is set to largest, the text of the main mod (for Composite on weapons) overflows the item details pop-up.
The item details pop-up is not resizable.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have the "Takes 2 weapon slots" part of the text be on a new line?

I think it would also make it look cleaner and more breathable in general, even on lower text sizes.

#

I think this could also be done for other mods, such as "Reinforced" on cloaks:

Particularities about gear mod text entries

#

The "hot pockets" mod on hull extensions has weird spacing about the cargo slots bonus, the space between "+" and "2".

#

Similar notes as the original entry for "Rewired" on engines. Maybe the "electric tempering" reduction should appear on a new line?

#

Same for "Shielded" on tractor beams (or in general).

#

Same for "Compact" on shields (or other places(?))

#

Same for "Resonating" on energies when not the main-mod.

#

Upon looking closer, it seems that the window itself does expand with the maximum number of characters on any given mod text line/line in general, which is nice, but it seems to not be taking into account the bigger text size, or the maths pertaining to it is not correct.

#

It seems to be just ever so slightly less than what is correct. The longer the text, the more it is wrapped, so there is a multiplier there that is incorrect.

Could we perhaps just have the box resize itself to eliminate the scroll bars completely?

#

They already resize to some extent as it is

The large text is a beta feature which has many different small issues

The client was never designed for scaling that isn't 1 pixel to 1 pixel

Ah well, maybe one day.

Maybe windows can auto scale the resolution so you can stay in windows mode? I've never tried

But I can definitely force-upscale the window.

#

I just don't want to do that because it would kill the details.

#

I can make-do with the current situation but I feel like implementing a switch for the text character multiplier for window sizing based off of the currently selected text size would be more than enough to fix what is seen in this thread.

I'm not sure anything dynamically change based off the text scaling. It was just tuned so the client can work for both. Having to set up that pathway would be a major project
