#show squaddie galaxy location

Showing galaxy in like the table?
yeah
i cant post images but like a new column under the squad tab
I kinda wanna argue it should be okay, since if you have some homie added as a friend mutually, you can see the galaxy they are in
but its an absolute exponential mess to try to invite all your teamies accounts as friends
it would be nice qol, I lose track of my squaddies a lot lol
Yeah I'm uncomfortable with that a bit.
Not all teamies you want to know your location
I assume this is more a mega squad problem in sas
no, i just did a t23 run and it was annoying trying to sync galaxy locations
having to ask "where are you"
where did you go
what instance you are in
the woes of text communication basically
voice communication is king I guess, but not everyone is on it
fair
Thanks for that context. I'll ponder on it. Maybe squad leaders location.
yeah that would be a nice compromise
since the squad leader is probally the "running" role
for sas I have a trick to just remember the maximum width the squad bar grows to and just put a mental note if its less we are missing someone
Related: Wtb Members share map. I know it's kinda easy to remember what the instance looks like but
"Where are you?"
"I am here [galaxy name]."
"I don't know where that is."
"[Gal][Gal][Gal][Gal]."
"I don't have any of that mapped."
another qol idea: show the team the player is on in the squad view
the game already seems to syncronize this information since it tells you "invite to team" only if the player is not on a team, and hides that option otherwise
What's the usefulness to know team?
We have the ability to invite anyone into the squad now with the open invitiation
I thought that was always the case
xd
Just some visibility into seeing who is on your squad via proxy of team name
I don't think player names capture identity at all, and it helps squad leaders to get an idea if someone is inviting a team alt, if some new team joined the squad and they never noticed it, etc, etc
Also useful to seeing people are not in a team, and might benefit with an invite
Ah! Yup, the squad link can let anybody join.
purely out of curiosity, what do you feel is the issue with it?
if you squad up with someone, you're intending to interact with them whether it be to trade or do content, no?
not criticising your viewpoint or anything, I'm just curious as it seems counter-intuitive to me to squad up with someone but not want them to know where I am or vice-versa
We expect people to converse or use the easy to use galaxy sharing. Not just systematically given.
Its a bit too big brother for a very libertarian focused game
At least - imo
Consensual Stalking is great tho
I have to bug people to add me to their friends list when I squad them to get this info normally
That's opt in.
that's fair, thanks. I was just curious as to the reasoning.
Fun fact
The friend system is called Stalker in the code
