#More items less blueprints!

oly already drops items. it has always dropped items. the very first ZT was a drop not built.
it drops too many blueprints
Maybe he meant some of the other built stuff from oly too
But yeah getting some of the older stuff dropped as items instead of BPs now would be cool.
every bp from oly drops its item. just kinda rare since there's a million bps therefore getting a specific drop takes a while.
the rest of them, ID is a pita building stuff with decaying prospectables(?)
We're probably not going to go back and change old content, but going forwards we will mostly refrain from making Blue items come from blueprints (except maybe an item you only need 1 of)
Would be cool but yea lots of work that could be used on future content
yup same thing i told hober the other day
ID especially needs this
oly too but i mean the gear is kinda weak compare to the new shit so i dont care much about it
ID drones/energy and some weps still in a class of its own
I do agree with this. I think a few builds are OK like ship cores + a turn in, or anything a cut above that is directly sourced (e.g. an exotic DG boss bp).
Speaking of I wish my multitude of Stellar battery and nova core BPs got converted into raw items 😭
Some oly gear has niche uses, and would probably be seen more often if they were slightly more attainable, so they could be neuroforged.
I’m not a fan of multi step builds in general, it would be nice to have this eliminated in part with some of the older stuff that still has potential to be used
the fact oly gear is still useful in endgame T23 says a lot to its longevity.
then again, the conclusion aug is also useful in endgame T23 sooooo 💀
Ahem, Total Eclipse items...
.>
I’m not familiar/havent done these builds. Is it one of those ‘build an item to build an item, to build an item to build an item’ x10 builds?
Not 10x steps, but the cost is certainly a step above any other
Especially the raw creds and fusion cells. q.q
I think it is important now that Neuroforge exists to establish precedent that if you are going to commit items to build, the result is what you neuroforge. Side grades not considered.
I think for current tech, the Total Eclipse is 2 steps and very expensive, but luckily it doesn't have intermediary steps that, if you bindo'd, would prevent you from building the next step (since it's a ship).
Oly, the t22 Combined weapons, and the Combonite weapons are the main culprits of this.
