Hey,

Could we have some sort of shortcut for turning whilst not moving/adding acceleration?

It would be similar to how A/D work to rotate the ship, but instead it would rotate you to your mouse cursor.

What if we had a key binding like CTRL + Right Click (or some other key bind) and instead of moving you to a location, it aligned you to that location?

And what if you held down CTRL + Right Click, it would keep aligning you to that location?

Another suggestion: What if we could hold down Right Click and constantly update the location towards where I am moving? Or maybe let's say we have another keybind for that, I think it would be very useful!

Can you explain the use case? Feels a bit automated for an arcade style game that wants to have player skill be a part of it.

I mean, right now I can already do that, but I do not stay still

#

I can right click to where I want to point at, but I am accelerated towards that point, too

#

I would have to immediately stop accelerating

#

So we already have a way to point ourselves towards a desired location with our mouse

#

But it adds acceleration towards that point too

#

Can we make it so we have a way that doesn't?

#

It seems like being in the braking mode, like the one you're in when you press Shift + S, you are able to rotate using A/D

#

I believe it would be useful if we could also point towards our mouse location, and not move.

#

For the same reason we have the "move to right click position" and not just "navigate there with WASD", I fail to see why we can't have "rotate to (shift +) right click position" and not just "rotate with AD".

I appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. It’s helpful to hear different viewpoints.

It is, even if we disagree.

#

It's important that ideas get expressed, be them smart or dumb.

#

I believe a lot of people would like this change; I certainly would; and it would also fit in with the way we have "move to right click position" living alongside "move with WASD".

#

Sometimes you don't want to move, but you want to rotate, and you wanna do it accurately. Same way you sometimes want to move, but you wanna do it accurately ("right click => move to that position").

Most people just use V to autopilot then break autopilot.
