#Riftjumper bots are not firing as much as they can, not even close (bot durability invisibility)

See attached video and image. My Kanthos, with a roughly similar aug setup, is firing mostly correctly. Regardless of in V Formation or in Stay Close, the Riftjumper bot is not firing as often as it can. It's barely firing at all. As the image shows, it has more than enough elec. The gear on both the KAnthos and the Riftjumper is almost the same other than the KAnthos inbuilt. The Riftjumper is firing maybe once every 5 to 7 seconds, though it's not fired for over 10 frequently, whereas the RoF I've seen it do when it actually does properly fire is multiple times a second.

It's not the radar, since it doesn't seem to matter which radar I put on it, I've tested many at different tech levels

It does look super weird - and sweeney razor doesn't have a long recoil either

hazy cradle
#

Aye. I know it's using the Emp Ray due to the rad sound it makes on hit, too

placid dune
#

Yeah and emp ray also has only 2.7 recoil, with all those augs going and the lev they should both be firing a lot

#

And the 38% inbuilt rof on the Kanthos shouldn't be making such a giant difference

Spicy pew beta actually fires less then the rift jumper in the video.

hazy cradle
#

It's in VForm and VForm is terminally stupid so unsurprised

tulip pebble
#

Try on test.

hazy cradle
#

don't have jumpers on Test so I can only test the Kanthos

tulip pebble
#

They appear to behave the same

#

That's what I highlighted above

hazy cradle
tulip pebble
#

Looks to be more consistent fire

hazy cradle
#

aye

#

so why are they so drunk on live lol

tulip pebble
#

I made a new uni

#

So test will have rift jumpers when it comes up

hazy cradle
#

kty

tulip pebble
#

Live also been up 14 days

#

I'll poke Jey to see if we can get a maintenance restart

#

Maybe related.

hazy cradle
tulip pebble
#

Yeah might be live issue then.

hazy cradle
#

Good to know that bot brains get drunk as the server hamster dies lol

hazy cradle
#

@tulip pebble I found out what it actually was. It wasn't the live server, I think.

Despite what the inventory of my bots showed? The Emp Ray was dark red damaged. Basically broken. On both the KAnthos and the Riftjumper.

But on test the second time, I absentmindedly repaired them.

So it seems there's two bugs here; one, the bot inventory doesn't show damage states, and two; there's no message in event when your bots are trying to fire severely damaged weapons

tulip pebble
#

They're both not really bugs

hazy cradle
#

The bot inventory not showing damage states isn't a bug?!

tulip pebble
#

Fairly certain it's not coded.

#

But I'll add a task to look/implement

hazy cradle
#

Ty

#

There's no way I would've known if I hadn't docked them on live to check, so it feels important because players aren't psychic

#

That said the normal Anthos wasn't damaged, but it was still acting fairly drunk, so the maintenance is still a good idea

tulip pebble
#

I mean technically status report gives average durability

#

But I don't disagree

hazy cradle
#

Average durability isn't very helpful because weapons get damaged by overloaders but nothing else does, and since there's so much gear on any one ship, it could say 90% durability even while the primary weapon is at 2%

tulip pebble
#

It says lowest durability in ()

#

Iirc

hazy cradle
#

Hmmm

tulip pebble
#

We also have backlog task to add repair all / checkbox for auto repair all (so it includes bots).

#

It's kinda annoying to repair them now but like all things it takes time, testing and then lack of a biggier fire.

#

Durability color one should hopefully be easy to sort out tho.

hazy cradle
#

Also it's broken

#

:V

Riftjumper bots are not firing as much as they can, not even close (bot durability invisibility)

placid dune
tulip pebble
#

Is lowest durability right?

hazy cradle
tulip pebble
#

Yeah I'm aware of the 0% thing. Was more annoying when bots could use fighters as then it'd show 0% as lowest. But lowest should always be useful now.

#

Even if its a diffuser - still useful to know

#

thanks for bringing awareness - I'll add it to the list
