yet again, another newbie caught in the aggro trap. if we just unteam the ai bases and leave the teamed ai aggro, its fine. in any zone before these, if you get shot, you shoot back. thats normal. in these zones, if you (or your bots/drones) shoot back, you can't progress without killing yourself and towing to sol repeatedly due to aggro memes.

and im sure there's more. pls save the newbies

I personally don't see it as a problem. Yeah, it's frustrating, but it also teaches players to be mindful of their combat assets, and to be careful what they poke

except the game doesn't teach you how aggro works

#

so its just a brick wall of progression for most newbies who play this game

#

it serves no purpose

Serves purpose just the solution just isn't ideal.

Elite dangerous has similar mechanics but just a way to pay off your fine. We have a similar-like system queued in our backlog but we've been pressed on other systems.

I fully concur with lemon here, if this was intended as a teaching mechanism it is horribly executed.

I would like to strongly advise that if agro mechanics are supposed to be learned in relation to this a level be added to nexus where you are specifically told you have to sneak into the base. Possibly adding cloaking skill to the nexus area and explaining cloaking / radar mechanics in the process.

I agree you do not get them there, but it is not relevant to the probem. Most games do not have npc shops or npc quest givers teamed with hostile AI, so new players will be in the habit of ganking anything that opens up on them. This will be a wholey new concept to many players and should be specifically introduced in nexus becouse of that.
