I just setup 2 new detolf display cases and I'm sure they'll be empty for a long while. I'm so much more selective nowadays. it's a refreshing change to go from basically having an Indiana Jones warehouse of unopened boxes in my living room to a massive purge. these past few years I've been focusing on having a nice display area rather than collecting first and worrying about how I might want to display it later. now it's just a lot of empty but organized space waiting to be filled.

It's awesome, I love it. Has weight since it's made out of metal as well, plastic too of course. The blades rotate easily, I think there's some kind of ball bearing hidden inside. The stand feels durable. When you put the shield on top of it, it's not wobbly at all

To me my Doom themed collection is finished, TDA never really did it for me, and since it's the latest game of the franchise it has destroyed Eternal for me as well. Eternal was my absolute favorite game, now it just collects (virtual) dust.

All the merch which got released recently is just milking the cash cow. Especially when I got something, and not even a month later it's available for a reduced price, I don't like that at all... I don't want to keep up anymore.

I've wondered the same thing about a lot of games... There used to be a company called TriForce that was sort of known for making replica weapons, and they were actually working on a chainsaw (half-scale I think) for Doom 2016 before they shut down... There are a handful of companies out there that still do it, but very rarely for video games. The fact they haven't released more classic figures is even a bigger mystery.

For those wondering I figured it out

So since Canada Post was on strike 2 months ago (they've been up for like over a month)

My Slayer fig arrived fine through Canada Post

The Serrat fig is arriving through a separate shipping co (UniUni)
And so they need duties from me (Canada Post didn't) and ePay wants a 17$ "Admin Fee" on top of the 6$ duties
