I'm a huge completionist and a long time fan of Doom. The Legionary Slayer skin is the last thing I need to complete my collection on TDA.

Is there anyone here who has bought that GPU bundle but isn't attachted to that skin and would be willing to pass on their key? I can trade it with a game key perhaps? I can't really pay much for it as I'm still studying but I would go as far to buy a brand new game on full price to have a completed TDA game...

A Plea from a long time fan

Hi everyone, I'm a long time fan of the series and a big complitionest of the games. During Eternal, I logged in weekly, doing every challange. Following the Slayer's Club constantly and grinding to earn points and after years, I've managed to 100% complete Eternal with every cosmetic in the game.

Now with the Dark Ages, they have released a number of exclusive cosmetics that are region locked and behind pay walls. Through someone so generous, I've managed to get the Pizza skin that is region locked to just a few States. And thanks to a friend in Canada, I've managed to secure the controller and got it's skin (it's not sold in my country) and now the last thing I need to get is the Legionary skin that comes with that GPU bundle. This is so out of my reach and discourages me greatly. If there is anyone reading this who has gotten the bundle and doesn't have a strong attachment to the skin, doesn't care much for it, could you dm me? as a collage student, it's impossible for me to buy the bundle but if anyone's willing to pass it on, I would be so happy and would greatly appreciate it.

The headphones sounded clear last night when I played TDA, not as much bass as I hoped for but I need to look more into the iCUE application I got from Corsair's website that let me change the colors. Not sure if there's something to adjust the audio. I'll update when I play with it more today. Oh and when it finishes charging a lady voice told me it was done and I jumped cuz I wasn't expecting that 🤣

iCue let's you disable all that and there's a built in equalizer.

They're not designer headphones for music or anything, so you're not going to be getting bass.

I actually moved on from Corsair headphones for that exact reason. Now I'm back to being wired to my PC with a bajillion cords

Doom Eternal was way more fun, it's still my favorite game, with photo mode, infighting, there was so much more to see, the different skins were fun to unlock, in TDA we have just different color schemes. No chubby mullet Slayer, no Santa, the basic Slayer is the same all over

Maybe I'm mostly bored of the game because so much was spoiled before it got launched, while with Eternal I was basically two years too late lol

it's hard to explain why Dark Ages just doesn't hit home with me. the original doom was never meant to be taken seriously, I loved that it was basically a tongue-in-cheek sci-fi horror with controversial subject matter. the newer games have strayed so far from that, it's more fantasy, aesthetic decisions because they look cool and not because they make sense. it's gory, but it's not really "scary" gory. I feel like they've been playing things way too safe instead of pushing boundaries like the OG did. if they were doing it right, there would be politicians and protests calling for it to be banned 🤣 which is why (to bring this back on topic) I need demon action figures! and I don't mean cute ones. I want to play 🔥 HELL 🔥 in my living room, not look at all my different Slayer outfits. ugh...

I did enjoy DOOM TDA but did I enjoy it as much as Eternal or 2016, not as much. I did get excited with some of the combat zones in the game. I don't think it's a bad game but overall I did enjoy my time with it. I was more excited about the merchandise than the game being released but that's me being a collector ha. Love the design of the TDA Slayer though! Hopefully we see some good merch in the coming years! 😄

Also locking skins behind purchasable real life products wasn't a great idea.

I don't want to clog up merch chat with game chat but I'll put in my 2 cents. No game will ever too DOOM II for me. Of the last 3 games, 2019 was my favorite. Eternal was great, it just took acrobatics WAY too far. I wanted to rip and tear, no swing and jump. DOOM TDA is on my $hit list for what happens toward the end. Thira should have been able to rectify that. If you know you know. Also, I know it is the DARK Ages, but the lighting was so dark I couldn't enjoy their art most of the time. I just couldn't make out what was what. Also, if you are going to do open world type levels, and the player is the Slayer, you should be able to jump over small objects, bust through weak wood, and everything else consistently. I found myself MANY times trying to move somewhere and being blocked by an invisible wall. That is poor level design. Also, unless I just missed them, there were no silly fun blatant Easter eggs to OG DOOM, Wolfenstein, Keen, Rage, nothing. Things I enjoyed, being able to use sliders and feel all powerful was a huge plus for me. I like a little challenge, but I don't like to have to "work" to play. I really enjoyed throwing the shield saw and using the mace. Also I don't know why they gave the BFC a silly name, unless that was just to make fun of the first DOOM Movie. The new Caco was too far from my beloved angry tomato. There were no pain elementals, no Archviles. I LOVED most of the cut scenes. So much that I felt some of them ended too abruptly. I could keep going, but all said, I enjoyed countless hours shield sawing and blasting with my beloved SSG.

I’m actually currently working through DOOM 2 first time since 2017 and I never got past map 9. I think I’m on the first earth level now playing on UV this game is unforgiving compared to Doom 1. Not sure do I enjoy it so far
