They're just so iconic. Very different from the usual black clothes everyone likes to wear nowadays.
Every night my partner and I need to drive to work, I'm usually the passenger so I can look outside the window. Whenever I see people they wear black clothes, and you can barely see them!
So the meat pants definitely stand out. They are special. Precious. Lol

I'm a big boy, the pants Bethesda makes do not go up to my size :0) I bought the newest ones at QC in 3XL and had to return them. Glad I tried them there and didn't have to deal with the mail. The meat pants never appealed to me personally, but I'm glad you all got some and love them.

So, I first saw it on an id employee at QuakeCon and was like, "that's so cool! I need to buy one" and they let me know it was an employee only shirt they had to celebrate id's anniversary. I had forgotten about it until the DOOM TDA Microsoft video. Then I Google image searched it and some guy found one on the street near id's office and sold it on eBay. I was very lucky.

I managed to get hold of the slayer off someone online but it did cost £278 just for it.

Mine might be my 3d printed life sized fan made crucible which I got off Etsy. (pic off Etsy) It was €260. I wanted to have one but I didn't want to spend €700 which is sold by another seller but with a transparent blade, so I went for the one with the black hilt and opaque blade.

Found it in the op shop I volunteer at a few years ago and got it for three dollars, knowing full well there was a high chance the steam code inside had already been redeemed and it was therefore useless as a game (I had been burned by a copy of Skyrim I found in a similar manner a few years earlier)

It turned out it hadn't, and that's how I played and owned my first ever doom games, Doom 1 and 2.

(No I haven't played doom 3, I'll get around to it if I can convince a friend to join me lol)

Just to clear some stuff up here.
Final Doom does use basically everything from Doom 2. But it is its own game that can be played independent of Doom 2 - except that it’s split into two, TNT and Plutonia, making up a total of 64 levels.
Also, the engine Final Doom has a minor difference with the teleporters.

I mostly listen to the intro of Quake III for the nostalgia haha, but also Rip and Tear. I spend some time inside the Fortress of Doom just listening to those, and exploring the same paths all over again and again

A lot of people complained about that place, and wanted to have the upgrade system like in Doom 2016 but imo that's boring. Love that place, I think it's beautiful

the one you show us and the second, rarer one.
the rarest of all is the big box, the same size as doom 2 or thy flesh consumed ultimate.
the second rarest is the one you show us, identical in size to the big boxes for doom 3 and doom 3 roe.
the third variant is a small cardboard box that looks like the music boxes.
the fourth is the classic version with the doom 3 preview.
the fifth is the same version without the doom 3 preview.
and the last version is the “collection de légende”, a reissue released shortly after the us and uk release.

it looks good in the end, but I think the camera angle isn't great and it zooms in on the slayer too much, and the blue background looks weird anyway, for doom, the color was always orange and red.

From what I can see, the background is Sentinel Prime. The brighter blue makes a good contrast to the darker Slayer but I agree, it's zoomed in on him too much. This way it gives a feeling of the Slayer being squeezed into the picture, he doesn't have much space to move.

well if this is all you have I advise just organising so a quick glance has most of what you have on display

that's the problem with deep and boxy shelves, it's hard to organize them in a way where you can see everything from a glance

Where's the game play
I bought this old doom game from 2005 and popped it into my Xbox and was greeted with a 2 hour long cut scene and after that no gameplay whatsoever. The cut scene was good and has amazing graphics that I didn't even know was achievable in 2005 but no gameplay like how do I play this doom game.
