Welp, 9 days after starting here we are! The blade actually slots into either Crucible hilt (the two cutouts) which means I only need to print one blade and can display the hilts on their own, one could permanently attach it of course if they wanted to actually hold the whole thing with the blade in. Both are roughly 1.4m long with the blade in. Still a lot of work to do not least of which is welding/filling the seams, but rather than that tedium I think I'd rather just print more stuff for now haha

My 2016 and Eternal Collector's Edition boxes are too big to display. They are in my closet of DOOM Merch Boxes. I don't spring for the LRG money grabs. I can see paying premium for premium collectibles, but the cost justification just isn't there for Phobos Helmet, the LRG Classic Collection, nor Switch DOOM Eternal Ultimate Edition.

I have a 1983 3/4 Ton 4x4 Long Bed Scottsdale that is currently Battleship Gray on top and Blue on bottom. I was the truck I used to ride in the back of as a kid. I keep it running well and pay for body work when I can. When all is said and done, I want it to look like the model truck you see in the photo.

CAD? I do pure sculpting, one thing I mentioned in the blocked reply was the back side of the Gore Key is literally just a dome with some 'organic' texture on it, super simple, it's all just shapes and textures/details brushed on when it comes down to it

Also, something really cool which I think will inevitably happen, would be officially released/purchasable printable files based on the original development sculpts, 3D printing becomes more and more popular every day and at some point not doing something like that will be leaving a lot of potential money on the table, and save me some work! lol. They don't even have to go through the expense of production or anything, just a digital file any of the artists could prepare in a day or two and sell it endlessly forever as official merch, that's gotta be appealing to these companies

Picked up the same guy recently, and did some work on him. Everything repainted bar the helmet (which got some extra shades and highlights to define it better), strap carved off arm before the skin was repainted, plugged hole on back, bunch of little tweaks here and there.

they do put out some cool stuff occasionally, but the vast majority of it is pretty bland from what I've seen, and their reputation is very much: you'll get it when you get it. that and the whole social media manager firing controversy. I can see why people find it difficult to support the company with those business ethics. even so the physical game aspect is really important to some people so it's not hard to understand why they're successful.

ive sawed the meathook off and repainted the shotgun to its og pallete, orange dry brushing on the soles to simulate dusty phobos terrain, darkened the helmet, added scars, and did some green dry brushing for the weathered look along with painting the belt-bullets red.

Special - We’re waiting on receipt of two components which should arrive in June. Once those arrive, they will be sent off for kitting. They’ll be back in our warehouse for shipping in Q3.
Ultimate - A few components are still in the sampling phase, but we are looking to start manufacturing those missing pieces ASAP. Ultimate Editions are on track to ship as early as Q3.
