Single-player games are pretty nice to play, but a monitor like this requires a decent PC. A shooter (for example, CS:GO) is rather inconvenient to play. Personally, my opinion about this monitor is good, very large loading into the game process and also an excellent picture. I recommend (sorry for the mistakes I wrote in Google translator)

CS GO is an esports game, it is not designed for wide monitors. Very frequent lags and bugs, although I have a powerful computer.

my biggest problem with CS and widescreen is that your horizontal FOV doesnt increase like in other games, but your vertical FOV decreases instead. which is the best option, because the game is so damn competitive, but it just doesnt play well. Hud is also really hard to focus on.

I ended up returning it actually, I’m gonna be going with a 4070ti instead. Just didn’t like amd drivers. I’m gonna keep the rest of the setup and color scheme pretty much the same

Yeah I had a bunch of black screen, no display, crashing, high idle power, high idle fans, gpu got extremely hot, just a bunch of issues. Nvidia seems like the easier and more reliable way to go so I ordered one of these. It’ll be here in a few days and I can get back to gaming

The performance i get out of this 120€ GPU with custom drivers (Higher Stock Clock, Better Temps, Re-Bar Support on older GPU's for full bandwith etc.) is absolutely CRAZY. But.... that comes with a lot of work which i cant even recommend to "normal advanced users".

So i can totally understand why someone takes the easier, more convenient (If more pricy) way of going team green.
AMD always felt kinda "hacky" to get done right. Or even a hit or miss.

I just hope you will have a lot of fun with the 4070ti 💪

i'd suggest getting a separate cpu cooler and another case with a much better airflow personally

nzxt makes another variation of h510 with a front mesh panel called h510 flow. as for the cpu cooler i'd stick with a 240mm aio cooler since the stock fan included will fall short over time

It's alright for 5 years imo, the prize seems ok, too. But as already said, Ryzen will need a stronger cooler.. I actually have the same cpu, with Arctics Freezer cooler.. two fans with 4 pipes.. and I still had to tweak CPU voltage because it would sometimes overheat in summer or while rendering 3D.
Btw, dont buy the Artics Freezer... stupidest construction ever

I would rather go for a 1TB NVME and a normal, cheaper SSD for normal storage and invest the money in a better CPU!
Also look for a ryzen CPU with the wraith stock cooler to save a bit money on the additional CPU cooler there.
Been rocking the stock wraith for ages and it gets the job done perfectly!

You can save some money by getting the Ryzen 7 5800x that bundled with an ASUS Prime B550-Plus. Still would have to buy a separate cooler for the CPU as all the ones I've seen don't have a stock wraith cooler. Well outside of the Ryzen 7 7700, but that would require a B650 motherboard, and DDR5 ram.

As for storage you can instead get a 1 or 2 TB m.2 SSD for the OS + gaming, and a 2TB Crucial BX500 2.5 inch SSD for general storage.

You see, with the newest AMD Ryzen Chips the pins that make contact between the Motherboard and the CPU are on the motherboard. With the older chips (like the one you sent in) the pins are on the CPU, so you can’t physically (and digitally) put them together.

I would (like Kex did) recommend an B550 board, some b450 boards could work but you may have to update the Bios.

X570 boards are also an option, but the better and more expensive boards only give you an advantage with overclocking and other extreme shenanigans.

Ever since Proton came out, gaming on Linux has improved a ton. Is it perfect? no but for the majority of games these days, it's just as good and getting better all the time. I mean they're even getting anticheats working so that you won't get banned for not being on Windows
