Oh, I dont think it's weird at all to think that, I wrote it in D phrygian (its a scale mode derived from the Bb major key) and phrygian is most commonly heard in Egyptian sounding music. It also pops up a ton in film music. Egyptian AND Film sounding.

Just get a 7 string multiscale or 7 string at the 26.5 or 27 inch scale range (ideally 27 inch scale if you can find one, since most 8 strings have 27 inch scale)
in general, 7 string multiscale guitars are gonna sound the exact same as an 8 string multiscale minus the high E string when downtuning - just my advice

One reason would be (extended) range, as they allow you to play 2 (extra) lower notes without having to downtune, while still keeping the higher notes (like the high B and E string for example). That allows for playing leads, arpeggios etc.
At the same time though, I feel a lot of people just grab an 8 string to play the lower notes when they can just grab a 7 string with an extended scale (26.5 in and above) or multiscale (25.5-27 inch scale) and then just get thicker strings to allow downtuning.

honestly, the only thing I don't see being worth it is transitioning from 6 to 8 string
I recommend first transitioning from 6 to 7 string so that your fingers can get familiar with the feeling of a 7 string, then make the jump to 8 string if they want to.

hey the track sounds great, the only thing I would change is the guitar pitch, it sounds a bit too chipmunk-y, my guess is you pitched the guitar down with the distortion applied? Try recording just the dry guitar signal, pitching it down, and then applying distortion and other effects.

I have pitched the guitar first, and then distorted it. I think there's just a lot of dissonance in the low-mids, cause I don't play guitar that well and I messed up the bends. I'll work on it for sure. Thanks!

I hope this helps you to understand why we limit memes so heavily in this community.

1. We want people to be here for DOOM and not for memes

In the past we had a population of users here which only wanted to throw some random memes into a specific channel. The health of the server suffered greatly from that and that's why we went so strict about it. Be here because you love DOOM and everything that comes with it and make sure there is some context if you post memes.

2. No oversight evolves into bigotry

Despite the fact that we have mods from multiple time zones to ensure this place is safe and enjoyable for everyone, there may be cases when we are not looking at the chat. If left unattended, the memes being posted will start to turn hateful, and it may take a few minutes for the moderation team to react.
We actively work to prevent this from happening.

3. Out of context memes kill conversations

This is by far something a lot of people have been bummed with. Since we got so many channels to pipeline discussions with like-minded people it could turn into a whole other mess if people just post random memes or other forms of content that can derail a whole conversation.
