Oh!!!!! How do I fix that?
well, what specific monitor are you using?
I run a Samsung Odyssey g9 57 super ultra wide screen. So it's good and I need to dial in the settings to get HDR working right.
everybody starts somewhere
is it a 240hz?
?
Yes
okay so
your monitor is a VA panel, you should not be using HDR with it at all, i would say get an oled and THEN use HDR
Well I paid like 2k+ for that monitor. It's not even a few months old.
yeah if youre not into HDR its still an amazing display
So what settings should I be using to get e best hdr because I play a lot of games that support hdr
I wouldnt use HDR on it at all
it will look washed out, as you described
its still a really good panel, and 8k2k will be absolutely gorgeous regardless
If say get a refund Homeslice, but it’s still a good monitor
If you are on windows, you could try the windows hdr calibration tool if you haven't already. It is worth a try just to see how it looks when calibrated.
Actually I looked it up, I didnt realize your monitor is mini LED. Yeah I would give HDR a shot, make sure you use windows HDR calibration like @storm garden said, and also whenever you enable HDR in game, set the hdr settings appropriately. Most games make it easy and guide you through it.
refund and buy what lol? I dont think theres a better monitor on the planet right now
its an oddysey g9, its a absolute monster
What are you talking about, he has a VA panel
That doesn’t make it the best monitor lmao
It’s a good panel but it’s far from HDR level ideal
ok, then find a super ultrawide with better specs
it still has decent HDR, its mini led so it has lots of dimming zones
will it be as good as OLED? no, but i also dont think you can get an oled that matches the other specs atm, and if you could it would be much more expensive for a relatively small upgrade
none of those are super ultrawide
I’ve used a top tier mini led panel and a mid tier OLED panel
and all of them are much worse res lmao
OLED was a clear winner
You mean 60 less hz?
and less than a third the resolution
What was the res again?
8k2k
So 5120 x 1440?
Ah okay okay that makes more sense
I was wondering like “why is he defending it so much” lmao, alright that makes more sense
yeah thats what im saying man
You should have googled what the monitor even was before telling the dude to refund lol
Hdr tends to look really good on my Mini LED TV, usually better than SDR too.
yeah, like i said its not as good as OLED obviously, but its still a very acceptable HDR experience
and honestly if i had infinite money to spend id take decent hdr and 8k2k over really good hdr and 1440x3440
but really just a preference/what your priorities are in a display
I did, there’s like 4 different versions of the G9
only one thats 57 inch afaik
I found another one
only one on their website, and cant find a single reference to a different one online
you were probably looking at the old neo g9 thats only 1440 and is only 49 inches
Ah that’s the one
yeah, very different monitor. Just read more carfully next time before giving advice lol

Tho on a slightly seperate note, OLED is not a marginal difference, like even QD OLED and OLED have a huge difference, so Mini LED is kind of in its own league
It's actually impressive just how good the monitor market has gotten recently. 1440p 240hz OLEDs are pretty cheap nowadays
240hz 1440p is the standard for the current panels
Rightfully so
I didnt say its marginal at all
Honestly 50 series is a skip generation and 90 series is decent at best
yeah i got the new alienware UW 1440 240hz and its amazing
and (relatively) cheap too
I'm still using a 1080p 240hz I got back in like 2020
nah i think the 90 series was a big dub
but its kind of an in-between generation. I think it will age well, but a lot of its best features are still in the works
It usually only slightly edges out 50 series in value, fundamentally it is really good for amd but in terms of marketing, it isn't that good.
its a bit of a stepping stone for UDNA
depends on where you live, here the 9070/9060 smash the 50 series in value
theres usually a few for 900, and quite a few for closer to 1k
compared to 5070 ti, which is around 200-300 more
I live in canada, so all these prices are in CAD, if youre wondering why they are so high
With HDR I don't understand HDR very well but should I set the picture settings and like the color kind of high up so that it pops or should I leave everything kind of default?
Youre talking about the windows calibration right? The colour thing is just personal preference. Personally I like it pretty saturated, but not over the top. So i put mine at like 60-70%, cant remember exactly. Just try whatever value sounds good and try some games. If it seems oversaturated thenturn it down
HDR is one of those things thats kind of a bitch to get tuned exactly right, but once you do its pretty sweet
Both are poopy buns, the 90 series doesn’t even out perform the previous gen
yes it does?
Look up the GPU hierarchy by Tom’s hardware
i dont need to
The entire focus of 90 series was stability over performance
the 9070 xt beats everything short of the 7900 xtx
they chose to go midrange since not many people buy topend
Which is the concern, like it costs the same as a 7900xtx and performs the same
no it doesnt lmao
Great! Ray tracing is better, now what
My guy, seriously, look up the benchmarks, I get liking AMD and all but this is ridiculous
the 7900 xtx is not the same price as the 9070
better ray tracing, better encoder, lower power draw, fsr 4 is way better than 3
and i know the benchmarks dude, i own a 7900 xtx myself
no av1 video encoding bug either
900 dollars and 900 dollars
Yes but it performs the same, that’s the problem, both with the new NVIDIA and AMD GPUs
the 9070 xt is not 900 dollars unless you live in the us lol
When the xtx launched it was way more than the 9070xt launch price
^^
Of course the xtx is similarly priced now because (as you just said) it performs similarly
My store bought both, the 7900xtx was 900 and now (not MSRP) the 9070xt is 900
well thats just where you live
here 9070 xt is like 900, 7900 xtx is like 1200
XT is being sold around £630 here
Jeez, guess international pricing is better
Blackwell and RDNA 4 both have their advantages over ADA Lovelace and RDNA 3 (thank Christ for chiplet architecture being removed) but it should be an improvement in the most basic aspect too, raster performance, unfortunately both aren’t. Which is the literal one job they had
At the price point, I would say rdna 4 is a good enough boost
the raster improvement wasnt their focus this gen
Maybe for you guys, here nobody is upgrading unless your coming from an RDNA 2 GPU
its still a big improvement, but not as big as the improvement to rt and esspecially AI
Which is a problem. Blackwell didn’t focus on it either and neither did Intel for their CPUs
7800xt 7900GRE are the closest in msrp to 9070 xt
and it blows both of them out the water pretty well
regardless 9070 xt and 9060 xt are both solid gpus in my opinion, and fsr4 and the other ai improvements are a good step
How is the current pricing for the 7900xtx where you live
scroll up
In my opinion it is a good step, however I don’t think they’re solid considering what they give in the most basic aspect. Dissapointing year…
theyre better value than anything nvidia released this gen
Why is the 7900xtx that much more expensive lmao they perf the same
higher msrp, bigger card more vram
I think its more that your 9070's are extremely overpriced
My guy it’s not about NVIDIA it’s about all GPU manufacturers, nvidias abandoned the gaming market, their Q3 reports show that AI makes literally 10 times more than gaming GPUs monetarily
Both Nvidia and AMD dropped the ball this year
can you go 5 seconds without talking down to me?
god, you are insufferable to talk to.
God forbid someone want tech to be better than last year instead of being the same bullshit and getting all the [insert any company here] fanboys to defend it with their lives
not what im talking about at all, but sure, keep deflecting
I just dont like the way youre speaking to me
Are you really okay with the gpus literally performing the same at the high end?
they arent at the high end though
They’re priced at the high end
a 9070 xt is about $650 usd where i live. that is not high end
That’s almost lower than MSRP, which is insane, I kid you not this is the first time I’m hearing of that GPU being available for that cheap in the last 3 months of fixing, selling and building pcs
Im not talking about the terrible gpu market in the us right now, im talking about the 9070 xt. and when and where you can get it for MSRP, its a good value
its been at that price here for months
and its exactly msrp for canada (900)
So you want to look at it from a value perspective? It gives good value. You want to look at it from actual advancement? no, it falls short.
ok?
That’s my point here
most people arent buying the high end anyway?
and it is a big improvement over last gens upper midrange vards
like i said, the 7800 xt and 7900 gre are the closest in msrp and it washes both of them in nearly every aspect
7900gre was pretty good value, I reccomend the 9070 to people aswell when helping them build computers. Definitely better value than Nvidia
so we agree then?
I always agreed on that
It’s crazy how many people I’ve encountered in this server that are just naturally condescending in the way they talk to others. People seem to be incapable of handling disagreement without down-talking others
I've had a similar experience, unfortunately. That's why I only talk in this channel.
Fair enough honestly, although I will say this channel seems to have a fairly high argument frequency lol
That's tech needs for you. Comes with the territory lol
I haven’t seen him in a bit but there was this one guy who consistently came in here with steam statistics trying to argue that tda was a flop and it’s just like, why do you care so much about this lmao
Fucker was in here almost daily starting shit with people 😭
Yeah I remember, he was mad he coulndt run it well in vr
Aye I suppose that’s true
LOL I forgot about that 🤣
To be fair me being exposed to a lot of the tech community did allow their assholeishness to rub off on me
In general this place is pretty tame compared to a lot of actual dedicated tech centers and servers, they’re slinging slurs at each other and just straight up insulting one another
thers no point in going that far but there is a point to debate
yeah but that kind of behavior is not debate
Debate typically has a set of logical arguments that are being made, and insults are inherently not a part of that structure
Hey yall, I have an issue with DOOM Eternal where everytime I launch, it gets passed the main loading screen and says teleporting at the bottom left, then just black screen's with music still playing in the backround. This is my first time loading DOOM Eternal, and it says that I could run the game with low graphics mode on, but I have an Intel Core i7-6700 CPU, 3.40 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 970 (4 GB) Windows 10 Home 16GB RAM. Thank you so much if you find a solution
Try buying new parts, which I know sounds like a hassle, but I've never seen this issue before so I'm just making assumptions
Yeah sorry, I would recommend Bethesda support too
so ive been asking around if DOOM: Eternal has mouse smoothing or acceleration
and im getting mixed answers
So I wanna know if DOOM: Eternal uses raw mouse input or if they use mouse acceleration and if they do use mouse acceleration how do I turn it off cuz i cant find anything in settings
why does it matter? never got the hate for mouse acceleration
unless youre competing at an esports level, its not hurting anything really.
is this a decent price? I don't play extremely demanding games and I don't want to build my own currently
you can have a much better pc made, id say order some parts and then have someone build it for you, maybe a tech store
i agree
Yeah I'm with mecat. That's not the best you can do. Try PC parts picker
ight gotchu
If you're gaming on it you need at minimum 16 GB RAM to run modern stuff for the most part
And the rest of the PC was kinda booty cheeks
@empty patrol here is an idea of what you could get, its about 100 dollars more but if you buy a used gpu and a used case you can bring the total down to 479
thank you thank you
I dont like playing with it
ok so after researching, ive edited the DOOM: Eternal config file to put m_smooth: '0' is this the right way to do it
to remove mouse smoothing
I would assume so
\wasnt this available from windows settings?
Is Ryzen 5 5500 and an Rx 6600 enough to run the dark ages?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UteI_ZERuE
Here is a video of someone testing it. The CPU is better in this video but you will most likely be GPU bound in this game.
DOOM: The Dark Ages : RX 6600 at 4K, 1440p, 1080p on All Settings | Ryzen 5 8400f
4K: 0:00
1440p: 2:17
1080p - Low (Native): 5:11
1080p - Low + FSR: 7:46
1080p - Medium (Native): 10:37
1080p - Medium + FSR: 13:42
1080p - High Settings: 16:16
1080p - Ultra Settings: 19:52
1080p - Nightmare Settings: 22:32
1080p - Ultra Nightmare Settings: 26:07
...
Thx
I hope so
Im getting the PC next week and I wanna play a lot of games Including the dark ages
I know so, you can run the game. 60 fps FSR balanced
Niiice congrats on the new pc
Appreciate it gng I've been waiting for a long time and it's finally happening
Enjoy to the fullest with that thing man, if you can, I’d say pull the cpu out of it when you can and sell it. And buy a used 5600 if you can
Just my personal reccomendation, it’s a bit of a hassle but it’s what I’d do
I'll probably get the 5600 yeah
Is a used GPU alright in your opinion?
Yeah, the cache is a lot better on it. You’ll feel less latency
32mb ik yeah but the budget cannot be broken
That’s a good question, it really depends on the manufacturer and age of the GPU
Totally understandable
Make sense
Yeah, If I was buying used I’d go with sapphire nitro + or Asus preferably since they have the best build quality and highest rated capacitors for their pcbs
The new ore built has the r 5500
And the GPU used one has the 5 5600 same price
Wait what? I thought we were talking about GPU’s not CPUs
Oh yeah used CPUs are fine, just make sure you can have the option to refund it if it doesn’t work well
There is
Awesome
Man you don't know how excited IAM
Oh I bet homie, the is shit is gonna feel amazing
What was your previous system? Or is this your first?
Pentium dual cores and a GeForce Nvidia 610M and 4gb ram 😭
The upgrade is gonna feel so smooth I might cry
Holy shit lmao this is a huge upgrade
Ik bro I've been stuck with that for 5 years
Once you get the budget (or it becomes cheaper) I really recommend an x3D CPU at some point because they are the best gaming CPUs on am4
My budget is already so low lol
Can't really afford an x3d cpu
Understandable, yeah. Whatever is the best you can afford should suffice
making a Micxro ATX AM5 build, this a good deal?
Not the biggest fan of gigabyte but the price seems decent
should I be concerened their are no ratings and it says final sale: non returnable?
Probably, yeah
I dont recall there being any issues with this model but if it is faulty, you can't do much
Im loving 5070
alright yall I need help, I'm building a PC soon and I have a 550 to 600 dollar budget, should I make an APU build on AM5 for future proofing with an 8600G and add andequate GPU later or make an AM4 Build with a 5500 and a 3050/6600 for cheaper but be stuck on AM4 and have to spend more to upgrade later? I play games like Genshin, Warframe, H:SR, and Classic DOOM so I don't need insane hardware
my rig is
RTX 2060 super
amd ryzen 7 3700x
16gb ram
ssd nvme
b450 carbon gaming pro max wifi motherboard
when doom came out game was alright in performance, then the game started stuttering a lot, I'm using nvidia driver version 566.36, please anyone recommend good stable version, because I'm hitting 99% gpu usage during playing, seems 566.36 got outdated with doom updates, thanks.
alright since you're not looking for high end pc, i would advice u to get 5 5500 with RX 6600 regular or XT, avoid 3050, I'm not great tech guy but best if u hear what others says
Yeah don't get a 3050, the 6600 is a way better option.
I'm not really sure about the cause but I know recent nvidia drivers have been having many issues. Quite interesting, though as many people suggest 566.36 to be the last stable one.
switched to 576.80 got about extra +20% performance and gpu usage no longer high
That's interesting because GPU usage being high should be normal in a game like doom tda
kinda, but 99% made my game unplayable suddenly, after switching to 576xx it became better and for some reason temps is better
I mean if it works, it works 🤷♂️
exactly lol
Would not recommended gigabyte at all for budget
My electricity flickered and my pc won't turn back on. Is it cooked? Its on a surge protector
Fixed it chat 💪
Is a 3070 good enough to run doom TDA?
Yep
ah sweet
Ok whats the highest graphics i can run it on?
I'd say so
don't expect 1440p tho
I'd say 1080p Medium with a high mix could get you 50 or more FPS
Ok thanks
or 900p upscaled to 1080p
3070 can do 60fps on ultra nightmare native
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlzatw1E2vQ&t=623s
This is a good video to watch to grasp performance

(it might be higher now since this was pre launch)
oh damn I thought it was lower since a 3080 is the recommended GPU
My game froze on the opening cutscene, i had low graphics though?
I use 5800x and 5070 32 gb
yes just set texture cache size to minimum
doesn't affect the graphics
hi
and now even doom 2016 has more peak and concurrenty players vs the newer doom the dark ages on steam, doom 2016 is more accessable (price + needed hardware [no forced raytracing])
Doom tda was more targeted towards game pass users tbf
Are there any error logs?
this motherfucker again
have you looked in a mirror? 😄
Bro do you have like, friends? A job? Or is your sole purpose in life to analyze steam stats and post in the doom discord about how the latest game was a flop? I’m not even annoyed with it at this point, it just feels incredibly sad that you’re so dedicated to doing this
It’s been what, more than 2 months since the game came out and you’re still on about this?
I found the decisions they made stupid and predicted that they would harm sales and players, and that the old Doom games would quickly have more active players on Steam – and that's what happened!
It wasn't even a flop, game pass is much more prevalent now than in 2016 (if it even existed then) which is where most people will play TDA
Not to mention eternal released in the middle of a pandemic when everybody had literally no other responsibilities other than playing video games
oh, this isn't eternal, this is doom 2016 😄
He is insufferable
genuinely
My guy I see you're playing Elden Ring, you have great taste.
thank you
What boss have you made it up to on elden ring?
still munching on that keyboard i see
you could just step on it a few times and hit send. at least that gibberish isnt head achingly whiny
or, you know. Make some friends? Get laid? whatever helps you get over this month long obsession with a video game you didnt like
im on NG +1, im tryna beat melania rn, and the DLC is really hard
I uh... yeah. I messed up really bad with the DLC because I thought NG+ didn't apply to it. I ended up doing the dlc on NG+4 or something like that 😭
Good luck with Malenia though!
hmmm, i don't hink you could predict the playcountdevelopment in this way 🤣
Holy shit lmao
Thanks! Just broke her first phase
You've got this 💪
Hey guys I found a deal on a pre built with the Rx 6650xt but the downside tbat is has a Ryzen 5 3500x should I get it or no?
If it is a good enough deal that you could just upgrade the cpu for a lower price than buying a prebuild with a better cpu, may aswell
Yeah but the price especially with the Rx 6650xt is good
I could change it to a Ryzen 5 5500 but it'll crack my budget ik it's better but I also need to buy a monitor
What games are you looking to play on your pc?
Honestly basically everything im trying to enjoy gaming for once I've been struggling my whole life with bad devices and I have a huge list of games I need to play
you can always stream games with geforce now. gives you often somethin like rtx 2080 (special version with 16gb), that is probably more powerful than a rx6650xt (or at least in the same ballpark)
2080 is about equal to a 6650xt
Im buying a PC tho why I would stream games
why should you buy a pc that offer same or less performance than the free tear of geforce now if you get a rig with 2080?
and special 2080 is not as vram limited as the radeon in your configuration....
doom tda runs like dogshit on a rx 6650 xt for this kind of game and everything below fsr 4 (that has been introduced with rx 9000 cards, other cards cannot use it) is so inferorier especially with lower resolution that you don't want to use it ...https://youtu.be/Uz26dSgbKd4?t=32
so this is not a good card for the future.

same settings (for testing i am subscribed to the performance tier in geforce now ... (they gave me an rtx 3060 this time ... )) (because of forced raytracing you also need a higher tier than free)
this is only because doom tda is RT, in raster games they are much closer
but thats besides the point. they obviously want a pc, not a streaming service
Why is frame generation is bad
It’s just that it can be very laggy on some games and feel weird, but on TDA it’s pretty damn good
Because you need to rely on good internet, even with good internet the latency of GeForce now is usually much worse with noticeable quality loss. Not to mention you usually have to be in a waiting list
And it also allows devs to be more lazy with their optomization so there’s that
I noticed that in dl2 when I try to use frame generation my game crush
The games on GeForce now are limited and im happy with the performance of the 6650xt it's a major upgrade from what I had
Exactly
if you are happy with 6650xt performance, get it. it should be really cheap now, performance should be similar to the gpu-part in consoles-socs: (probably a bit more than) ps5 + series x but these console have more vram and get optimized versions ....
Main reason the consoles usually perform better is due to their dedicated hardware decompression (at least with the PS5)
consoles get dialed in settings specifically for the plattform, sometime these settings they are using aren't availabe on other plattforms, they can also get around things like shader compilation stutter because they can precalculate the shaders.
A lot of modern games pre-compile shaders now and usually PC settings can scale around console
with good hardware you can normally outperform console pretty easy but in this case, with a 6650xt, probably not.
Same here
What cpu you got?
I have a Pentium dual cores lol
Niceee gongrats
Wait what ya getting?
Is that new?
I've never seen it
You selling all yo stuff to get it 😭
Yeah like the ROG ally x
But why yo selling yo Lego collection you should keep it
What's the point of getting cool stuff from the beginning if your just gonna sell them
Yeah but it's collection to remind you of your Youth yk
I've always been broke and now life is smiling for me im gonna start collecting stuff I really love to show my children how of a nerd I was
I haven't played none of those lol I played doom 3 I just didn't have a good PC now that im getting it I can finally enjoy gaming
Tech
I really can't wait to have children they're just gonna be so fun to have around
I want me some doggos ngl
You should have kids
How come doom TDA keeps crashing today when it worked perfectly fine last time i played it?
You could try editing the game settings to lower the vram usage, could be that?
only technically lol. I really wouldnt reccomend ever actually using rt on it
theres lossless scaling, but thats very new on linux and its a little rough around the edges atm
wouldnt reccomend it on deck. performance is very poor. you can check out some videos and see if its acceptable for you, but personally i wouldnt
theres always streaming services if you really want
im just putting the option out there?
i also dont like cloud gaming, but its literally the only way you would be able to play tda in a good state
at like 144p
again, its playable but not reccomended
it wouldnt be a very good experience compared to eternal or the like
i guess if youre used to 30 fps and super low res it probably wouldnt bother you too much
from what i understand theres not a lot you can do to optimize tda, as the vast majority of the performance hit comes from rt
and i dont think you can reduce it much below minimum settings without major graphical issues
wdym
the 30 fps benchmark is at 360p
wouldnt reccomend lossless scaling in this specific case. the low resolution and poor original framerate would make the play experience worse than just native
but it wouldnt be 30 after frame gen
and also the low internal res would make it look smeary
thats not the point i was making
fair enough
what? im not copy pasting anything. im telling you this based on my own experience from using LS extensively
if you did that would be very very impressive, but i extremely doubt that
also windows on deck is awful in my experience
I would, as that sounds pretty much impossible
windows on handheld just sucks, and in my testing games ran much worse on windows than steam os
yep
you can still play java on linux though
"optimizing windows" rarely makes any real world difference
and also i did it and there was virtually no change
i used a custom windows install stripped of bloat and "optimized for gaming"
actual improvements are very few and far between. HDR was a big upgrade on 11, at least?
I went very far with it. Windows optimization is a scam 90% of the time.
sadly i cannot. many of the software i use are not well supported on linux
steam os still has a looong way to go
it really really sucks for desktop use.
unless UE5 and adobe porducts all get proper linux support, then no
I still use steam os on handhelds though, and PiOS for my pi400
adobe is never happening
that would also involve breaking the drm
so it would probably get taken down as soon as its off the ground
What games can you run on that?
Titanfall 2 seems quite impressive tbh
I thought you said you can run it?
A4-5300?
Is that pre-ryzen amd?
yes
uhoh
maybe changed the motherboard?
well that certainly is one of the APU of all time
I bet that upgrade to the steam deck you were talking about will be nice lol
My macbook could probably run a game with rosetta better than that natively lol
Is it weird to say i miss when i had crappy specs like that?
I still have my old "gaming" laptop I used to play fortnite on lol
When i was happy if i could get a game to run at all. These days I get pressed if im not hitting a constant 240 fps at 1440x3440
240fps at that res is a pretty niche ask lol
The more you have, the less you appreciate i guess
im not pushing that in most modern titles without framegen, but i can easily push it in older games
When cyberpunk released on macos yesterday I was saying how it performed and someone was telling me it was unplayable like bro do you expect gaming PC performance from a macbook lol
oh yeah i forgot about that. How does it run on mac?
This is how it runs on mine
ultrawide.
1600p upscaled from 800p getting 47fps
oof. what settings? any rt?
m1 Pro doesnt support rt it is 4 years old lol
It was at medium
^ considering the macbooks have such a low power draw that this performance can sustain even without external power, I say this is impressive
i mean dedicated rt hardware has been around for like 7-8 years now
The oldest rt enabled macbook I am pretty sure is the M3 series
i meant 3440x1440
honestly, is it amazing performance? no. But its a mac
the fact its running CP2077 at all is a big w
Given the conditions it is in, I would say it is
It is outperforming the switch 2, which is nice
i have the AW3425DW. oled 240 hz, 0.03ms response time yatta yatta
Uncharted, Spider-Man 2 and RE4 remake I guess
I liked RE8, wasn't anything special for me though
idk, it just really clicked for me. I found it really replayable
I have honestly only played through it once
ive played through it at least 50 times, probably closer to 100
and that was back when I was on my old GPU, lol
The only VR game I can play is beat saber because moving around in VR makes me motion sick
though there are some really close contenders these days. Just played through arkham shadow andit was amazing
oh thats unfortunate. I used to get really motion sick aswell, but ive been playing vr for like 8 years now so im pretty used to it
I tried minecraft in VR and it wasn't very fun lol
Well it was fun, but in the sense of feeling sick it wasn't
Is that a server youre running it on? lmao
A4500 is a weird GPU to have lol
well yeah but those are server components
a4500 and epyc cpu are typically for an ai server or something like that
1080p 30fps is insane (esp with FSR Q)
Imma see how the game runs for me with pt
I see basically no tangible benefit from using rt never mind pt
his point is that its most certainly not a gaming gpu. it costs more than a 5080 but runs a lot worse in games
Yup
From what I can see it is around a 6800xt in terms of performance
well i have a 7900 xtx, so its more of a slideshow than a game
im on an xt
no its definitely more than that iirc, but not as much as the price would imply
yeah i know. rdna 3 is bad at path tracing
This is what techpowerup rate it as
wow thats much worse than i thought
$3000 gou beat out by $500 gpu
(obviously not a fair comparison as the a4500 is not meant for gaming at all, but still)
let me try that aswell, see what i get
FSR anti-aliasing
what level is this
to anti alias?
yeah lol
damn I get 160fps with path tracing off lol
its exactly what it says on the tin, anti aliasing trys to remove aliasing (Grainy/low res look)
Issue is that it looks really noisy, so it will be way-way-way too far in the future before we can run it well especially with the stagnation of tangible upgrades from GPU generations
maximum settings at 1080 with fsr q
is that pt on vs off?
pt on, only difference is FG on/off
ahh
PT off im getting like 280 with fg
Hello y'all how's everyone doing today
What fps overlay is that may I ask? fraps?
sometimes. i find afmf introduces some distracting artifacts sometimes though
just the one thats built right into the game
you should be able to use those on windows with a steam deck
I am pretty sure you can use those on RDNA 2
rdna 2 has afmf and rsr
rsr is the same as fsr pretty much, so no reason you cant use it on pretty much anything
but only because it doesnt have adrenaline i believe
Does RSR run the actual game at 720p?
so if you install windows and then adrenaline you can use it
yes, its an upscaler
I meant like the external resolution instead of internal, if so that would probably make the UI look awful
rsr is pretty much just fsr but worse. so only really useful in games that dont support an upscaler
yeah pretty much
RSR is useful in some cases, but i basically never use it.
you have an xtx, resolution usually isn't your issue in a game
even on my ally, i never use it
i know how it works lol. its an upscaler. its basically the same as fsr1
why
but if you have fsr why not use that instead
thats actually exactly how fsr works lol.
upscalers all work the same at a basic level. take a low resolution image (720p) and bring it up to a higher one (4k)
they are literally the same thing, except rsr has less information to work with
That just reminds me of the bridge of good luck, babe
Here is amd themselves saying they are literally the same thing
the only difference is that fsr is implemented per game, and thus has access to more data, therefore its better. meanwhile RSR is driver level and works on any game
Like i said earlier, RSR can be very nice for games without upscalers, but literally any upscaler built into the game will work better. (xess/fsr/dlss)
i mean i could do it right now if you want
i have the game open and i have an amd gpu
Try DLSS 4 😄
I wish. Too bad im not getting fsr4 either
Did you see that on linux it is actually possible to run fsr 4 on rdna 3
Quite cool tbh
yeah but it doesnt run great
of course, because it is translating it
maybe eventually they will optimize it enough to be worth it, and hopefully a way to do it on windows as well
If they make a native fsr 4 version for rdna 3 (amd said they are trying to) it could honestly possibly run decently
yeah they said that but considering its been complete silence for months...
im not holding my breath lol
AMD usually do that tbf, we will just have to see tbh
Sony officially announced that FSR 4 will be added to PS5 pro, so there is hope (I think?)
they also seem to not really care about rdna 3 much anymore. there was a game breaking issue on CP2077 for months and it was only fixed because of the new cp2077 update
What issue?
PT would crash after like 10 minutes
If it was fixed with a game update, is it not safe to assume it was a game issue?
Oh, that's hardly an issue tbh
AMD had it in the list of known issues, so Im pretty sure its an amd problem
yeah it is, i want my pretty graphics man
I would rather watch a video of someone running it on a 5090 tbh because the fps would be too low
getting locked out of graphics options youre perfectly capable of running is really annoyinh
i get a locked 60 with quality xess
and then frame gen up to 240
See, that's nice on paper but compared to the fps you get when running without? I would much rather have that
Im very cpu limited so i dont really get better fps with it off
and also pt in that game looks stunning
And also at 60 fps the input latency on frame gen is low enough I don't really mind it at all
I think the game would look better at a native 4k because I would prefer clarity > pure graphics
I don't have a 4k display, and xess quality/ultra quality is near indiscernible from native
from what I know cyberpunk has some pretty bad AA so it usually looks quite blurry, I havent played it enough to actually see
I think you misread
Nope. Not anymore anyway
Looks great
lms
I said I could test it, not you
I was offering to show you what it looks like/how it runs
i really wouldnt stack all those
4x framegen is almost pointless on a 90hz display
Well this texture is bugged lol
Idk man the anti-aliasing looks really off in this game
looks perfect for me
forget about PT lol
I can notice a lot of dithering and some pretty heavy noise in grated surfaces
its a steam deck, it will probably just crash
ive got basically none of that
im using XESS 2.0 and it looks great
PT
RT at max
no RT
Yeah I would just leave it off
IMO PT looks absolutely incredible, just how much more realistically everything is lit. You dont realize how bad the rasterized lighting is until you really see PT
and this is only showing basic lighting
its so much more noticible on coloured lights, and how it lights character models
and the reflections arent even comparable. Non RT reflections look terrible in comparison
I wouldnt play this game without RT to be honest
it benefits from it so much with how mand light sources and reflective surfaces there are
When I am playing an fps I would always rather take the path with a lower input latency
yeah but cyberpunk isnt really a twitch shooter
60 feels fine
cyberpunk is an open world RPG. I barely even use guns lol
It's fine, yeah. But with a very minimal decrease in quality with an increased res and fps, I would always rather have that
but i dont think the increase in quality is minimal
i think its a massive step up
just look at literally any reflective surface and its instantly obvious
That sounds like a poor rasterised implementation of reflections
I have a comparison between the rt reflections vs raster in sm2 and the raster looks better
well idk what to tell you
I think the rt reflections are much better
in sm2 and cp2077
Rt reflections are usually more accurate but they usually look worse because you have to lower the resolution of the reflections to make it playable
maybe if youre on low settings?
on max they are native res i believe
or at least i cannot tell the difference
Max then you just get really bad frame rates
At 1080p
Did you say xess ultra quality or quality
whatever man, this convo is obviously going nowhere
clearly i cannot change your mind if 1:1 comparisons cant
I will do a comparison later when I have free time
Here is your rt vs raster on sm2 (I took these images for hdr comparisons hence them not being screenshots)
thats a config issue lmfao
How
wtf that looks horrible, mine looks nothing like that
reflections are pretty crisp for me
Right is ps5 fyi I would have to test it on pc
But the right image is what rt usually looks like for me which is why I usually go with raster
yo someone help me with my doom eternal game
ive literally never played a game with rt reflections that bad
blame sony, not the technology
i was js playing sum doom eternal, then suddenly my game becomes a fucking slideshow
but oddly enough my FPS counter only dipped to 120 FPS from the usual 165, which is weird because it isnt below 30 FPS when looking like its running at 4 frames per minute
My point is that raster can still look good
i didnt say it cant? i just said RT looks much better
It usually looks comparable
not really
If a game has a good implementation of ssr matched with cube mapsit does
raster reflections are also extremely time consuming to make, where as rt reflections are literally on off
With the cost of an arm and a leg being needed to run it
yeah and that takes forever to make. and ssr has some massive limits
again, we are going in circles. the fps cost really isnt that much
When you're cpu bound sure
and it being costly doesnt mean its bad? does having good quality textures and resolution also bad?
Textures aren't costly if you have the vram for it and to me an increase in resolution is much more noticeable
just because you dont see the differences doesnt mean others dont
to me RT vs non RT is extremely noticible for most games
wether its worth the performance hit depends on the game
its no difference than any other graphical setting
Rt vs non rt I can get but rt vs pt I can't
PT is just RT on roids
PT is more of a feature for later gpu generations
right now only a few gpus can run it decently
basically only the 4080/5080 and their variants and the 4090/5090
only game i actually use PT on is CP2077, where fps doesnt matter that much as long as its at least 60 imo
You're pretty much putting all your luck into the denoiser to hope it looks good
it does a decent job
nvidia looks much better but even on my gpu it looks pretty amazing
Fsr 4 is getting a denoiser too
yeah well about that
I use a denoiser from a mod
works well enough, looks much better than native. theres also mods to make PT run better at the cost of looking a bit worse
I'm gonna have a look at how well the rt is myself
I'll backpedal on my statement if it looks good
Does the game also freeze for you when loading
yeah
Those raster reflections look so ass tbh
yep
For some reason turning on RT just deletes these posters from the reflection
are rt reflections on?
Yes
maybe a driver issue or something? idk
you can see from my screenshot it works perfectly for me
It'll be a limited object range
Rt on definitely looks better but it isn't half the fps better for me
let me find something similar to compare
Don't get me wrong.. I agree with you RT always looks better, my point being that I don't see the tradeoff as enticing
well obviously you value different things than i do
i would rather have better graphics and 60 fps than worse graphics and 120 in a game like this
That's totally fine, if you enjoy the better graphics, so be it. I am sorry if it felt like I was trying to force you to stop using RT / PT
Is the right doom?
Watch out, the nintendo ninjas are about
Cyberpunk 😍
im still curious about this build
you do ai or smth?
oh that makes more sense. Just fyi see if theres a different system you can stream. the system you are using is not meant for gaming
if you cant, then maybe get geforce now instead?
I dont believe you have to wait if you pay for a subscription. and youll at least get a wayy better gaming experience
sure, but geforce now is a good temporary replacement until then
I dont think game streaming is a stupid idea, not everyone can afford a console. and game streaming makes games more accesable
many people may have a phone, but cant afford a console. So they can just pay for a streaming service and play all the games they want
oh, then why not just play tda on that
youll get much better graphics
yeah but its at 1080 with dlss quality and 30fps
that is much worse quality than console
im talking about the screenshot earlier when you were using path tracing
yeah, thats bad lol
console is running at something similar to high-max settings at 4k60
yeah ik thats what im saying lol
yes?
just keep in mind the mobile 5080 is much weaker than the regular one
not saying its a bad laptop or anything, im just making sure youre aware
you would be suprised how many morons think they perform identically
more like overkill lol. I would def reccomend getting that oled screen
im very well aware.
but the majority consumers dont get that, they see 5080 and think it means 5080
but 1440 is way better
and you have the hardware to push it, so i think thats the better option
is the oled higher refresh rate too? what are the full specs
also i should add oled is just way better in general than IPS
what is?
Nah, its a 5080m, its gonna crush basically every game at 1440
you can always use dlss if you want more performance
performance hit?
dlss makes the game run better, not worse
oh like compared to 1080p native
yes it is relatively light and looks way better than 1080 native.
I know what dlss is..
yes, i say go with that
esspecially if youre playing somewhat older games you will regret only being on 1080
Ive used both 1080 and 1440 displays quite extensively, and 1440 just looks so much better. I would rather have 1440 and ultra performance dlss than 1080
even text is so much more crisp, makes productivity a lot nicer
Unfortunately you cant get a 4k monitor the size and aspect ratio of mine.
Who are you talking to
I think the guy left or something
He was being an asshole even to the admin so he got kicked out
Basically, he joined a few days ago, but he's already involved in multiple arguments in chat
Voices in my head, obviously
Oled is definitely way better for gaming than IPS, imo.
Been using IPS monitor for years and they are good, color quality and wide angle range and ofc they have a long life durability.
It's a little weird since Playstation has a weird button layout, but thats just my opinion
What about a WIi u pro controller
Dunno, never used one
You'll be fine
I used a dualsense for the game and had no issues
not sure if its supported in Steam, for example
but should work normally
I'm pretty sure a ps3 controller would show up as a generic xbox 360 controller in windows
it should but i don't have a cable to try
my ps3 fightstick works with steam
Hey guys I’m a bit new here but could you tell me what is better to play doom on console or pc?
It depends on the PC and console you have
if you want a guaranteed stable experience (and you aren't on series s), console should be fine
Thanks for the response
No problem! The game runs well on PC, given that your PC is capable.
PC better imo
better experience with more FPS
forgot that part, if you have a good PC indeed 😄
this good for the price? I want good aesthetics but still good performance
wait add a 1tb NVMe, I forgot to add one
so the price is more like 610-620 ish
ZTT uses it and he says it's a great value CPU Cooler
Why does Doom Eternal js break my pc on launch
Like I tab out for like a second and then it fails
Like I tab back to Doom Eternal
But its not tabbing back cuz my mouse pointer doesn't become doom's
Then its stuck and then i have to force shut my pc down
Which probably corrupts some files
my best guess is that it is somewhat related to using fullscreen, have you tried borderless windowed?
I guess is time for a change
Very good cpu but if I am totally honest it's the worst 9000x3D cpu
It was a gamestop exclusive controller that they don't make anymore. It wasn't bad, but better brands are now on the market with way more features.
I got it for 13 bucks is it a good deal?
I actually had the 360 version of this controller! It was decently ok.
I'll just use it till I get a good one
Thx for helping
No problem. I suggest in the future looking at 8bitdo, or GameSir brand controllers specifically the models that have hall effect, or TMR sticks as they won't get stick drift that easy since it uses magnetic senors.
Im probably getting a game sir yeah it looks so good
It's a very reliable, and solid brand
Yeah I found one for around 60$-100
Why so?
the 9900x3D has 2 CCDs with 6 cores, so only 6 cores have access to the 3D cache as opposed to the 9800x3D and 9950x3D which have 8. So essentially in games the 9000x3D has equal performance to the 9600x3D.
It isn't a big difference though, don't worry the 9900x3D is still a great CPU
(Way better than mine)
Yea I just didn't want to upgrade Intel again because they are lately or from what I heard, bad
Oh yeah, definitely
yo!i'm getting an error saying sorry, something went wrong, what should i do?
this feels cobbled together from aliexpress listings
How's it looking currently in terms of cable management? I don't have the APU, RAM, or Storage yet so the CPU Cooler can't be properly installed
Looking good
Guys I have a question
Is it okay to buy a PC with the ryzen 5 5600g and use it for like 2-3 weeks then buy a dedicated GPU?
Yeah, no issue with that
yeah its a good apu
if you want gpu recommendations, the Battlemage B580/RTX 4060/RX 6650 XT are all great options, and a 6600 is another great budget option
Like even if the wait is only 2 weeks ?
yeah, afterall, you still have a good cpu and back up integrated graphics
Cus I really don't wanna wait that much to play some games I've been waiting for a long time
Aight appreciate it
I might either get the 3060 or the 6600
if you want to be patient, you COULD buy a 5600 non G instead sinec they are the same price range and the 5600 is a bit better but I dont think the gap is too significant
3060 is honestly not worth it unless if you buy used
Yeah only the l3 cache
the Arc B580 is genarally similar in price and outperforms it in everything
and the 6600 is stil goated
Not really an Intel guy
i mean that's fair, but again, the 6650 XT is also a similar price to a 3060 and outperforms it in everything, if you need NVIDIA features than the 3060 is a good option tho
especioally since the 3060 Ti is kinda hard to get new now
Dépenses on the price I don't live in the us so prices are higher I might really just get a 6600 Greta performance in 1080p high to ultra
Resident evil franchise ghost of tushima rdr2 a bit of doom Ethernal and a few like those
My old laptop has been holding me from playing with good graphics
alright I was expecting DOOM TDA since the 6600 is actually a bit below the minimum specs i believe
I don't really wanna play it
wait no it IS the minimum specs
It works tho with some fsr actions
You should consider that the minimum specs are not always true
yeah I know that, I usually just try to get parts that are at least in between minimum and recommended for the games I personally play
just for a peace of mind
I'll probably just be playing Minecraft 😭
Yeah then you'd be sure
Just fyi, I wouldn't really recommend going for a B580 because that GPU tends to suffer really bad CPU overheads when it comes to weaker CPUs, the 5600 being one weak enough to cause a drop in performance. This video explains it well:

how does one upgrade this absoloute atrocity given its lowk just horrible
Well it's an am4 mb so you have a lot of options for a new cpu
A 5800x3d and a 7800 xt would be a sweet combo
All depends on your budget. How much are you looking to spend? @stable pulsar
around 550 pounds or so
And is the PC only for gaming or do you need it for other things
why people are not talkinig about old pcs cuz doom can run on almost any thing xd
i kinda fell asleep for 12 hours
its pretty much just gaming
is this a good price?
for that monitor yes but you can still get better ones for around the same price
ight gotchu
how good is 7800x3d
Really good
Near enough the best gaming cpu
If you are buying a cpu dedicated to multicore performance, there are better options
I have 5800x
alright, who has a lian li rgb aio?
Don't talk like that about my boy GTX 1650
The motherboard is gonna get fried
?
That's not really how that works
the x7800x3d is limited in powerdraw and you cannot overclock it, it will run on nealry every budget mobo, no problem for the vrms, same goes for the 5800x3d.
even the multiplicator is locked on x7800x3d and 5800x3d (9000 x3d series is the first one where the multiplicator is not locked on x3d cpus)
You do you aight
Is it over clocked?
Im running a 4060 rn but the 1650 was the cornerstone of my pc for the longest time
Try overclocking it
The 1650? I don't have it anymore in my pc
I mean the 4060 bro...
Aight, i really dont need to though. Im getting enough performance and I don't think my powersupply would like that…
It's gonna be a ridiculously high frame boost if you do, like 40% more fps if u add like 1k clocks peed and 2k memory speed
165 hz monitor so wont benefit in anyway but thanks for the tip! If i run into performance issues i will try this
Is your ram at least maxed out? 🤔
you cannot overclock an ada gpu with normal cooling and voltage with + 1000mhz on core clock, ada usually hits a limit around 3ghz core clock and already this does not do every gpu.
Yeah you can dude, just gonna be hotter
you need voltage mods and special cooling for that.
Maybe not as strong as 1000mhz clock speed but yeah you don't need that much cooling for it, it's gonna max out at like 80 degrees
without voltage mod you will not reach much over 3ghz core clock, the gpu gets unstable.
Just use msi after burner they do it in a reasonable thing with saftey mechs
it does not matter which programm you use, ada does not clock that high without a voltage mod!
Okey dude
what gpu are you ocing a full 2 ghz on the mem speed
Rtx 4070 ti super
some gpu/ram configuration hit + 2ghz in msi afterburner with ada and probably blackwall.
but gives you only some fps if your are memory constraint (and nearly no fps if you ar not) but tetris told things like 40% or so with overlocking an ada gpu 🤣 thats not realistic.
so increasing the memory frequency in msi afterburger to + 2000, in reality the internal freuquceny icreases from 1313mhz to 1563.... so 250 mhz (or msi afterburner tells you 10500 + 2000 --> 12500)
"Afterburger" lol
Yeah I can't imagine +1ghz clock speed is stable lol. And 40% is a ridiculous amount of gain.
+it is not really 1ghz it is 1000/8 .... thats the internal clock increase.
Oh. I don't use afterburner
and +40% is not reachable with an overclock on an ada gpu in day to day use with normal overclocking methods without voltages mods and special cooling. he clearly does not know what he is talking about.
So I didn't realize
Is dell good gaming montier
depends. Alienware OLEDs are pretty good
I have an ultrawide OLED Dell/alienware.
This a problem I haven't seen before, I'd recommend changing some of the in game settings first
2 opposite sides of the spectrum
The reinstall fixed it and also somehow gave me more frames without changing any settings. Idk what happened but hey its working better than before lol
I didn't even know that would work, but yw ig

I have been having this issue since launch. I have tried just about everything and still nothing. my game refuses to go above 50fps even if i change my resolution to the lowest possible option so i know it's not my rig.
i9 9900k
rtx 3090
32gb ddr4
running game on 3440 x 1440 144hz monitor
Why is she your pfp😭
Yo I just did doom dark ages belly of beast then loaded harbour of souls then put me in menu now I have to redo belly of beast because harbour of souls is locked? I’m trying to get podium skin but super hard cause I have to keep replaying the levels then just to do that over again :((
idk if that is a glitch but it said i finished it but 6 demons were missing
is that a glitch or what happened here?
there seems to be a bug with dark ages after the recent update, i like playing without music, but after the recent update, music still plays during the opening cutscene for each level
and i'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but the weapons also don't have their skins applied when picking them up, they only show when the slayer examines them
i honestly can't tell what it is you are trying to convey with this gif
this is probably the worst value 3050 I've seen but IT LOOKS SO GOOD
you play without music🥀
ah, not on my first playthough, i like doing it without music for the realism
doom guy got a hello kitty headset under the helmet
Doom Guy probably plays WoW Classic religiously
No idea how the 3050's value could get even worse 😭
200 is already pushing it, 300 is just straight up heresy
honestly at that price point used is way more valuable
unless if you need, Nvidia's tech, just go with a 6600
4.5 is crazy
That was literally what I was gonna say lol
ok, found another cutscene where the music is playing when it shouldn't, the ending cutscene for chapter 5
still need help
do not buy a 5050.
oh I won't, but I feel like I just found a goldern turd in Amazon
I'll likely buy anything from a 6600 to a B580, depending on what Power Supply I get
I wouldnt suggest intel either until they fix their CPU overhead
What gpu driver should I use that also works for doom TDA? Nvidia RTX 4060 laptop
The last drivers are driving me crazy….doom tda is literally unplayable with gsync on/off and any other adjustments
I am already using digital foundry settings for my gpu, windows 11 ltsc fresh installed, no overheating. Max 65 degrees gpu, 80 degrees cpu
Full specs: Ryzen 5 7640HS, 32GB, RTX 4060, nvme storage
The game ran like butter on release and now when I came back to it its running like a hot pile of crap. I am getting consistently over 90 fps, the frame times are good but the image feels jittery and unstable
566.36 is generally known for being the most recent nvidia driver which is stable
Is 5800x still good for gaming in 2025
It's decent yeah
Not sure if this belongs here or TDA channel but, I am on chapter 13 and had around 9 hours of playtime on the gamepass version of Dark Ages, however when I "glory kill" the spider mastermind with the stomp animation or the mancubus boss that is required to glory kill by ripping his heart out for the upgrade, my game crashes with a bugsplat crash report, I have full reinstalled the game, used different drivers, changed my settings and even ran my fans at max speed despite them being cool and not having any issues with glory kill animations or a single crash up until this point, I can replay full chapters before 13 without a problem (rtx 4060)
Edit: after testing in previous levels it does not freeze from glorykill animations or in the ripatorium, only chapter 13 at the mancubus leader
Hmm weird
I guess just to rule out any issues with your os install, you could run sfc /scannow in command prompt (as administrator)
found corrupted files but still insta closes and sends the bug report when I glory kill
Well im not upgrade until AM6 come out
still not bad at all
what would be the best GPU for my CPU, I'm currently making a PC with a Ryzen 5 8600G and I want to upgrade the integrated graphics after a few months since I can't afford an adequate GPU for a bit since I want to move to AM5 so I won't need to upgrade for a while and getting both a GPU and AM5 is out of my current budget.
Im using 5070 with 5800x
Erm, hello? I have a problem with doom the dark ages
What's the problem?
The game just crash on me now, I just see the bug crash report, It was working just fine on release for me and go to chapter.. 19 I think but now is just crash
I don't see the game but I can hear ID intro
And then crash
Is your storage full?
Erm no, I have plenty of space
Do you have at least the minimum requirements for all of the game to run?
I was able to play the game on ultra after release
So yeah I would say so I do, but for real yes I do, I have a powerful PC
As I say I got to chapter 19 or 22 don't remember
Then it's probably an update bug or something, they might fix it soon dw, but for now send a ticket through Bethesda support
All right, sounds fair
there was a god damn lizard on my floor
my kitty bit off it's leg and tail
Gex is fucking dead 😢
dlaa maxed with wiht PT ..its killing a 4090
path tracing cost me 90 fps
150fps on quality mode
45 fps is sluggish
a 4090 has 24 gb of vram .why does it show 19?

50 series has alot problem with some games
i made a mistake
i wasnt gettin 150fps on pt ..that was on rt

so i lost half
R u using mod or us this actually in game??
my game stops on this screen anyone know how to fix?
Could windows defender be blocking the game?
this is the most god damn annoying bug ever
it wasnt always this bad, sometimes I could still play the game but this has been lasting for so long now I genuinely don't think I can play doom TDA anymore. I never had this issue until the update happened
okay as I sent this it finally launched but the fact I have to spend 5 minutes doing that just to play the game is horrific
I haven't played it since launched
no mods
Update your drivers..
I set the launcher pop ups to 0 and it works perfectly fine now. It was literally the launcher itself that was fucking me over
Is boom arm bar mic worth getting
Anyone found a way to install reshade to doom eternal after the mod launcher update?
If you really need hyper-clear audio from your mic, sure. If you are only using it to comm, probably not.
help plssss i completed all lvls at least 7 times and watched all vids bout collectibles n still dont know why tf i have mod-bot on taras nabad when nobody have ts, and same issue on 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 13. how tf i should complete 100% of game. and i have one more shit in launcher, when i want to launched game with mods "Please consult the DOOM Eternal documentation site for further assistance. If this problem persists, please try reinstalling the application." pops up, its not a mod problems, i launched without and with one most popular mod with "play with mods" button
Question I had in #community-support but I feel like I should've asked in this channel
I had this issue when watching youtube on a 2nd display with the game open
Did you ever fix it
I only could fix it by not watching youtube unfortunately
I recall there also being an issue linked to windowed borderless / fullscreen so maybe switching between those could help?
it only delayed the fps drop
before i have to restart the game again to fix it
Do you have metrics enabled? If so, when your fps drops, is your vram usage close to max?
I think so?
I'll check when I can
Just lmk 🙏
like this? first screenshot's before the fps drop, and the others are during the steady drop
I guess you could try lowering the vran pool size
i tried that already 😔
The only other thing I can think of is thermal throttling
that's probably it, the gpu number thingys at the top looks like it keeps lowering overtime
and my laptop does get a bit hot
i dunno how to fix this
and i dunno why this started to happen one day
I'm not sure
have you tried dropping your driver version down to 566.36? That is a known stable nvidia driver which could help.
wait that could work, i had that version before and the issue started after i updated it to the latest version
Hopefully it works 🙏
ill try tomorrow since it's almost 1 AM for me 🙏
ok so I tried to take off my USB3.0 header on my motherboard and the black shroud straight up came off revealing the pins, is my motherboard fucked?
I don't trust myself to put the cable and shroud back on
IT WORKS
30 MINS AND NO SIGN OF THE STUPID FPS DROP SO FAR
TYSM BRO
yoo it actually works now ty
been almost an hour without issues
No worries! I have no idea what nvidia are doing, their recent drivers have been awful
Hi, im sure this has been asked a ton but i havent found an answer yet. Tryna stream doom '16 to discord, ive tried streaming both the application and the full screen, as well as changing literally every setting, and the literal only way to make it work is unmaxxed windowed, which is just unplayable. Im on an rtx 5070 with an rx9070 and 32 gbs ddr5. Any ideas?
