I have done a very similar glitch in the world spear level. I assume it was a punch boost because it looked quite similar to what you did. The only difference about mine was that I punch boosted on an enemy and went much higher into the sky

punchboosting explanation:
when you go to punch an enemy you will lunge towards them, specifically at a section of their hitbox referred to as the “lunge point”. Which redirects and locks your camera when initiated, starting from further away will give you a higher starting speed but once approaching closer to the lunge point it will about even out to what it would have been at a closer range. You will gain additional speed towards the lunge point when holding a direction ( for punchboosting, holding a direction is necessary to maintain your lunge speed. ) forward being optimal since your camera is redirected anyways, the speed from this never slows independent of other factors, which consist of things like ground friction, gravity, reaching the lunge point, etc., and punch boosting works because of the ability to maintain your lunge speed without having your speed halted by a factor like colliding with the lunge point, often done by having a piece of geometry inbetween you and it to disconnect it, or using a lungepoint that doesn’t have collision, like an arachnotron turret after death, or a cacodemon after a glory kill. This tech is frame dependent, where the point in the sequence the collision occurs is changed. Higher framerates often leading to higher speed, this can be amplified by the usage of a method of timeslow, like weapon wheel.

The global update for the monster mod "Hell from Earth" is already here! More than sixty new enemies, many of which have learned new, often unnoticeable, but insidious tricks, including a completely finished faction.
And now you can choose which faction or factions we want to fight, or turn on all factions, getting the opportunity to fight all sorts of social scum. (Although so far there is only one, believe me - you should not joke with these villains).
Also in the mod options menu, where you can choose a faction, you can now configure a number of things for a more comfortable game to your taste, including one optimization setting that allows you to avoid lags on maps with a large number of enemies.
And this is not counting the numerous balance changes that will make the experience of the game more comfortable, without making the process of "radical re-education" too easy.

your execution is good, but you can do diffetent things to elevate your quick switching
when switching away after firing a LOB, you can do something called a mod swap cancel (MSC), this is done by you just pressing the mod swap button and immediately swapping weapon, that way you'll switch away from the LOB way faster
i'd also recommend not doing ssg+ballista
