Tone-mapping in this context basically makes dark scenes brighter and bright scenes darker, simulating how eyes dilate more or less depending on the brightness of what you're looking at, to give "dark darks" and "bright brights" while still having contrast and detail in both cases.

Well there is no "official" support for modding, but yes, mods are available on the Steam version.
Well is there any information when official mod support will happen. I hope doom eternal is the most modded game in history.
It takes about an hour to get a good handle on modding the game

Edited the aipooling decl, changed the bm entity in the entities file to a singleplayer one, made it so that the level transitions to the battlemode map and to the next campaign map when it finishes

Hello, my friend is making his custom wwise tool and with it's wip version I was able to optimally get Geoffrey Day's Fall of Davoth into the game without the need to remix the parts to match the original length. All you need to do is extract all of the contents of EternalModInjector.zip into your DOOMEternal installation folder (ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOMEternal).
Place your downloaded mods into the Mods folder (do not unzip them), run EternalModInjector.bat, and follow its instructions.

Alright, i have run into another problem with the eternalmodinjector. It says that "pvp_bronco.resources" not found. I have found it, i just need to know where to put it.
You shouldn't need to move it from one location to another yourself, though. If it's not where EternalModInjector says that it should be, you should verify/repair your Doom Eternal installation through Steam or the Bethesda.net Launcher.

Most mods should be a zip file that you just have to place in your "Mods" folder, after which you must run EternalModInjector.
Yeah, i have everything sorted. The mod injector says that there is a mod. The mod is there, but it does not run because it is the 6.2 version. I am just waiting for the 6.3 one. Because some people in the comments of the mod i am downloading say that they are waiting for the 6.3 version. So i guess i will wait.
you don't need to "wait for a 6.3 version" because 6.3 changed only the game executable
all 6.2-compatible mods will work with 6.3, without question

In my opinion, it's best to start from the ground up and work your way to more complicated levels. So editing Hell on Earth, or e1m1 is your best bet for learning.
However i think that Exultia, or either nekravol level are both great starting points

This is a custom variant of the Spirit enemy. It is called the Screecher Spirit.
The Screecher Spirit functions like a normal Spirit except:
- Possessed demons have the Screecher Buff.
- Microwave Beam deals x2 the normal damage to the Screecher Spirit.

EternalModInjector doesn't back up your save data, only the game files that are affected by mods (so that it can restore the files to uninstall mods later).

If it is not bugged, you don't have to do anything with it.
After you have deleted your bugged save, load a new save.
Use these commands to speed up your progress.
You will need to type god after each level.
The other 2 commands will stay until you close the game, the you will need to retype them.

the modinjector requires exact checksum hashes of the game executable (which simply tends to change from update to update, due to how hashes work)

plus, the issue with simply checking the names is the fact that it might be a different file renamed as the game executable for whatever reason
or simply an outdated build of the game
One of the reasons is just to ensure that you're not using an outdated copy of EternalModInjector (or the game itself), essentially forcing people to update their copies of EternalModInjector, which lets them get new features for mods.
(This has the nice side effect of not working with pirated copies of the game, yes, though that's not the only reason that it checks hashes.)
EternalModInjector also has a list of "files that can be modified" built in, and this list must be updated whenever the game adds something new (or removes something old), so again, forcing people to update EternalModInjector for that is nice.
A third reason (more so with meta.resources than the game executable) is just to ensure that you don't already have mods installed (e.g. from EternalModInjector with a previous game version), as then it can't make "vanilla" backups so that it can uninstall mods.
TL;DR: To make sure that it's the correct version of the game, and to force people to update EternalModInjector once in a while when the game updates.

Use the Tool VEGA to extract a texture of choice from whatever .resource archive the texture you want to edit is in
Edit said texture in your editor of choice, ex. Substance painter, or Paint.Net
Use Powerball's texture converter to change the PNG back into TGA
Package your mod with the correct directory in a ZIP file, with the same filepath you extracted the texture from.
Done. Saved you a click. I can get you links to any of these tools without having to join any discord.

and i wanted to remove it midway through cultist base and i deleted it from mods then ran eternal mod injector
now every time i try to get on that save it gets to 95% loading screen then it crashes

The last arena is hard, but the rest is ok. I had to use the first 4 weapons over and over so I didnt have much of a problem once i knew how to use them well
I usually play games in the hardest mode from the very beginning and don't even bother with easy or normal just so I'm accustomed to the difficulty from the get go.. I started DE on nightmare and there were 2 fights on cultist base I was stuck for hours on my first play through.. The 2 mancubus after rocket launcher unlock and the arena before ssg unlock.

Did you "restore backups" through EternalModManager after Update 6.2 released? If so, that's the cause of your error; You had a mod that affected e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources and made e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources.backup in Update 6.1, then Update 6.2 deleted e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources, and then you clicked on the "restore backups" button which copied e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources.backup back to e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources, which EternalModInjector doesn't expect for Update 6.2 (nor Update 6.3).
Delete -/DOOMEternal/base/game/dlc/e4m3_mcity/e4m3_mcity_patch2.resources, run EternalModInjector again, and repeat this for the rest of the .resources archives it complains about not finding the offset for.
For future reference, you don't have to click any buttons inside EternalModManager for the sake of an EternalModInjector update.

Try doing it again. Make sure that EternalModInjector's "base" folder's contents end up in -/DOOMEternal/base/, and that you replace any existing files (including BlangpParser.dll).

Hello everybody! I want to make a humorous dubbing of the game (Including work with subtitles). What difficulties can I face and what programs will I need?
Not all sounds can be replaced through EternalModInjector-based mods (yet?), but most can. I don't know if there's any non-replaceable dialogue.
Another difficulty is that EternalModInjector can't make a sound that's longer than the default/vanilla sound.
As for which programs you'll need and how to do it, see https://youtu.be/nvCBcn8B7bg. I haven't personally checked that video, but I think that it covers everything for you.

And as for subtitles, you'll need a raw text editor like Notepad++, in order to make a basic JSON file that has the strings that you want to change.

modern versions of DEternal_loadMods automatically disable access to BATTLEMODE if you load in any mods that affect files outside of a whitelist -- said files in the whitelist would be ones that have no effect on gameplay itself and are usually just cosmetic mods, or custom map layouts, etc.
what about the poses unrestricted mod
The mod can't get you banned on its own, but I don't know if other people will see you with your "invalid" pose selected. If they do, then they can report you for cheating/hacking in some way. Worst-case scenario, you could theoretically get banned for that, so if you're worried, don't use that mod in BattleMode.

First I must ask, are you sure? If you simply want to play the vanilla, unmodified game, it's enough to just verify/repair Doom Eternal's game installation through Steam or the Bethesda.net Launcher.

so theres a bug with the no hub mod, where every time you pull out a weapon (whether that be after mantling/climbing/some other animation that stows your weapons, or after switching weapons) the weapon inspect animation begins. it began after sgn, where you get the ballista after you spawn in. it might be an interaction between this mod and the viewmodel one (the only two mods i have installed that arent skin mods).
i dont know if it is though, only reason i mentioned it was because i had both running when it happened. the issue persists after switching saves, but restarting the game fixed the issue
There's a console variable that makes it so that weapons will always play their inspection animation when you bring them up.
I don't remember what it's called, and I don't know how it'd have gotten enabled there, though. 🤷

Can you use a console command (instead of setting a variable)? If so, ai_ScriptCmdEnt player1 forceIntroBringup could be a better option, which doesn't have to be disabled afterwards too. (There may also be a way to trigger that without relying on a console command trigger, but I don't know how if so.)

They are weak to Flame Belch. When you burn them, their fire FX is yellow. This is supposed to indicate to the player that Flame Belch deals more damage than normal against them. I don’t put lore into consideration when designing custom demons.

My iteration of mutators are random buffs that apply to specific demons. The demon(s) will either get a damage, resistance, or speed buff. The buff will last until the mutated demon dies. The buff FX is green.
You will be informed on the type of mutator buff that triggers.

I saw someone make something of a custom level. It didn't look the prettiest, but I guess it proves it's theoretically possible? Sadly I can't find the source for it though...
No. The closest that you can do is moving/adding/removing some props, but the main world geometry itself can't be tampered with like that. Doing that also doesn't update the AI navigation stuff, so they won't see if you add a new platform or obstacle.
(Besides that, you can make custom logic and such (although that's semi-rare in level mods), so you can set up a non-default experience in a default map, including BattleMode maps.)

I did, yes. Google Drive has a habit of falsely marking EternalModInjector as "infected with a virus" (yes, again 😿), and I personally dislike Nexus Mods (due to it requiring an account in order to download stuff, which is admittedly also the case for Discord).
GameBanana seemed like a decent choice. (And probably Mod DB too, but I haven't used that before.)
I prefer GameBanana's layout over Mod DB so I'm posting my mods there as well. Thank you for posting the Injector on a neutral platform though.

The only things not 'unrestricted' in the latest update are those that are in the upcoming series, though a lot of them have had the additional and 'fixed' effects that actually take time to create broken by the change in patch priority (and the new lines that need to be in those files, otherwise the new animations would show nothing, that is, if they weren't overridden). Generally ID adds two-three series of content at a time, and we were going to reach the end of the available content at the end of this current series, but they've added 2ish new ones. (usually this is because they need to push out update deadlines indefinitely, get hyped for a late november 6.66).

Does that still happen if you uninstall all mods? If so, one of your mods has an outdated (and possibly-corrupted) text edit. Try installing the mods again, one by one, until you find the culprit.

Cause the mod just gives you the hammer like if it was a console command (i think), idk any commands which removes it again

Funny thing is that all the 2016 music is in the game files for Eternal, segmented into bits just like Eternal's music. However, they are not mixed in the way to get them playable in a level. I tried looking around if there is some Music State for them, but I found no luck.
It's possible to get them playable in the game, but the current state of modding only allows for existing music to be replaced, and it would be tedious to tweak the audio files so they do not sound jank.
how do i get the files to mod
There are multiple resource extractor programs. One of them is VEGA for model and texture extracting.All you have to do is download the program and put it in the local files.
