I agree with Wrong, there is minimal appeal for that. You would never know which Dark Lord attacks are fake-outs or interruptible (unless you use Konvaz's Dark Lord Rework mod).

This is a Maykr Slayer mini from DOOM Eternal posing with a supershotgun. Base is not included, so you will have to make on yourself. He is balanced and can stand on his own without a base, tho he will fall over easily.
I have adjusted the body proportions and exaggerated detail to make it more suitable for miniature printing.

The file size limit for the Mod Injector is around 400 MB. If that's what you are referring to.

Randomizer in BM causes AI animation issues. I don’t think anyone can tell you’re using it, but it will actually fuck you over.

Has anyone heard of UnderTheMayo testing upcoming Brawler Mode X ? I think the idea of removing the chainsaw and replacing it with the hammer is really cool and provides a tweaked doom dance, and it should be done outside of brawler mode. (It could be done with no mods, only by unbinding the chainsaw and using give weapon/player/hammer when starting a new slot). i think the rocket launcher and a couple other weapons dont work with hands_show 0 but i think hands_fovscale 2 works with the other weapons
if you dont want to keep executing the command whenever you launch doom eternal, just go to its properties and in the launch options do +hands_show @spare sphinx

Two key things to note here:
- Only run the injector while the game is closed
- You DO NOT need to re-run the injector each time to want to play the game; only when you want to add/remove/change your mod setup
Follow what it says slightly below the error. Of particular note is the :RESET_BACKUPS stuff.
Choose yes to deleting them.

Introducing - One of my final custom enemy types, Pureblood Angles!
These are essentially a miniboss, a pure version of the blood maykr. Unlike Maykr drones, who actually grow stronger after being detatched from the khan maykr's will, Pureblood Maykrs benefit more from her presence, and therefore stronger than their hellified conterparts.
Pureblood Maykrs apply a vulnerability effect, rather than a slowdown. Their staff shoots projectiles faster and more often, and their cruciform attack shoots a shotgun-like blast of 5 that can pass through other demons. The shotgun blast of cruciforms spreads out as it travels.
They cannot be instantly headshot killed, but still take increased damage from headshots compared to other sources of damage.
They use the white blood maykr skin by @open blade

Technically speaking, they do, and zenimax media holds the right to permanently suspend your account and online access to all bethesda games.
However, they’ve shown no interest in enforcing that for DOOM Eternal, and idsoftware has been somewhat ambiguous about how they feel at times, so there’s no real risk of that, unless said mod usage posed an issue in multiplayer, which has gotten people’s bethesda accounts banned before.
ID Software is incredible and their silence on the matter may as well mean "Modding is a stable of game programming and experimenting with new gameplay styles and looking down upon them is elitist"
Whoch is frankly a way more healthy thing than Bethesda Studios doing the whole "You can add whatever mods you want, except that one, and that one- or that one"

Master Levels are among the most complex things a modder can make with this game. Snapmap is significantly easier to use but it is limited in what you can do.

We are open to ideas. Just remember that it takes a lot of trial & error to get new assets working, because this stuff is very new. I had to deal with a lot of missing texture stuff when incorporating some new enemies globally (so they work in all levels).

I think the only noticable issue I found was that in the open snowy area, there is a tiny spot where demons tend to "sink" into. It is usually just a weird visual thing, but occasionally a demon will sink in there never to return (they die so no need to use killai).

Changing menu UI stuff is quite janky right now and causes some crashes. You are able to get away with some added UI stuff, like the colored UIs and codex entries.
You can add whatever you want to this, but we can't get a scroll bar in.

Making an engine moddable at the level of id Tech is a separate ordeal. Lot of people misconstrue what modding was like originally

Understandable. Regardless I'm happy with what we have now.
It actually is, even more so than the 90's Doom and Doom II games. Even enemy AI/behaviour is exposed (and could be copied/added), I think, though of course not the functions in the game EXE, but I believe that "which functions are called when?" is technically exposed.
As much as I jokingly say "blame id Software", I also have to give them credit for just how "soft-coded" the game really is. 👏
A lot of file-formats are just unknown and thusly can't be altered (which official modding tools would help with), and in this case, "specific" menu stuff is often hardcoded in the game EXE and not modifiable.
i mean they've done plenty by allowing mods to exist in the first place, a lot of games dont allow that or try to hinder it

These are good changes. I tried tinkering with the chainsaw a bit, but some of the changes couldn't translate well in game (I did this before the asset adding update).

Nearly every map in my campaign will feature optional escalation encounters that reward you with special upgrades, weapon points, or whatever i feel like. They will feature content exceptionally difficult compared to the level you experience them in. Expect encounter ideas i thought were too hard to put anywhere else.

Absolutely, but at this point in the campaign you wouldn't have the SSG. I have the rocket launcher in this video from the secret pickup i added, but i didn't use it much on purpose because you wouldn't have it here.

i already had beta-meathook targets before ag2 even released. They used demon players as targetable entities. But now we have the fancy ID ones.

Engine-wise, not much. Making mods is (theoretically) a lot harder than it is for Doom 2016, in big part due to Doom 2016 having a single global archive for the whole Campaign (plus Multiplayer), whereas Doom Eternal has multiple global archives and per-level archives, while you have to make sure to replace stuff in the correct archive(s) for Doom Eternal rather than just putting everything in one spot like for Doom 2016.
But community-/tool-wise, yes. Those that used to mod Doom 2016 had a head start in Doom Eternal, making modding for that game "grow" faster than Doom 2016. And Doom Eternal is both newer and more popular, so it has many more mod makers, which leads to more people making guides/tutorials about it as well as it getting exponentially more popular over time, plus it has more tools and tool makers too, letting us do stuff that we couldn't do in Doom 2016 (like texture and sound mods, plus loading multiple text-altering mods at the same time).

Have you used EternalModInjector with the latest version of the game? One of the game EXE patches that it applies using EternalPatcher has to do with unrestricting bind commands in some way, though I don't know if that's needed for g_showHud.

This is really cool! I didnt know we could bind func movers to entities like demons. I'll have to play around with this myself, unsure how I could make use of it outside of gimmick fights, though.
The turret env hazards were my favorite part of this.
The buff totem thing was cool as well, but couldnt this be accomplished with a demon acting as a buff totem, and killing it would cause an exit trigger for an encounter with the totem?
I think binding it to an imp was funny, for sure.

Technically, we can now. I attempted to myself, and got pretty close! I managed to add a new rocket launcher to the player's inventory, seperate from the main one
it's purpose was to be used as a rocket jumper, deal no damage to you or demons, but send you flying.
However. It ended up not shooting anything and i got errors in the console about faulty projectile and ammo decls
so i gave up.
if rocket hits ground in a range where it could give you damage, dont deal damage to demons

I have a math conundrum. According to the google doc damage table for Eternal, if you were to add up the damage potential of the entire bullet ammo pool...
Micro Missiles
5(impact)+100(Explosion) x (180 bullets / 2 bullets per missile) = 9450 damage
Mobile Turret
24 damage per bullet x 180 bullets = 4320 damage
What is even the point of mobile turret? Even if the damage table didn't account for the extra damage chaingun may or may not do against Barons/Knights, is it even going to be close to missiles' damage output?
Like, with the ttk on barons when you use turret, it's gotta be double damage, at least, but even then I think missiles kill a tiny bit faster
I think mobile turret out-paces missiles against a tyrant, but I need to test more against barons

ive been modifying my game files for two hours straight and whenever i slip a modded heavy cannon skin into the mod folder and run the game, it crashes

Improved Gold Combat Shotgun. For those of you who have not beaten Super Gore Nest Master Level on Ultra Nightmare, you get this. This changes the Combat Shotgun's default skin to a better, nicer looking gold skin. Also, the wood is a lot more saturated than what it's supposed to be, I like the look more.

I'd assume that you need to have a version of the game that was compiled with specific flags defined, as otherwise the code for it just wouldn't be there at all in the game executable.
It could also be that you just need to use certain console variables, or both, but I don't know which. Try using find cvar dev menu after running EternalModInjector?

There is a debug mode where you can host a active "Invasion" Lobby.
Problem is... the main menu to search for Invasions isnt working... So the door is open but no one knows how to get in

only way to find out is to click every pixel on the main menu screen until you successfully invade someone's fortress of doom

no matter their skill level they'll be so caught off-guard that you could cheese them within a few seconds

Hey everyone, I'm a little bit worried I fucked up. Two of this week's challenges were to complete a level on Nightmare and Ultra-Violence. So I loaded up a new save, and thought I would make that level Hell On Earth, since it's the easiest. Herein lies the problem: Nightmare is still a little over my skill level, so I thought I would use Console Commands to do a little New Game +. But when I did that, all the Milestones for mastering weapons unlocked all at once, and at the end of the level, I had received a total of 200,500 XP, and just flew through a ton of the event levels at once. Is there a chance Bethesda/Id will ban me for cheating? From what I hear, they're lenient with players who mod the game that don't player Battlemode, but I thought it was worth asking.
Highly doubt that you will face any sorts of consequences for this. As long as you do not manipulate the game in the PVP Mode.
