@everyone
The Multiplayer Doom Federation (MDF) is back! Originally launched in 2018, MDF was created to blend the competitive intensity of online Doom with the sheer fun of community-driven play. Our goal has always been to create an environment that welcomes everyone—from longtime veterans to complete newbies. Through countless events, tournaments, mapping projects, podcasts, and streams, we achieved that vision.
In 2022, MDF evolved into Doom Central (DC), where many of you joined us for a variety of events and projects, and for that, we’re incredibly grateful. Now, we believe the timing is right to bring MDF back to its roots.
You may remember our wide range of tournaments, covering every game mode imaginable: FFA, Duel, CTF, 3-way CTF, Dominatrix, TDM, TLMS, LMS, and more. Many of you also discovered us through our annual prize pool event, Take The Crown. And, to my surprise, I've even heard from people who still listen to our Doom Is Dead? Podcast!
As we return, you can expect many of these classic events, but with a renewed focus on community-driven initiatives and projects. We’re especially excited to announce Take The Crown: Horde Edition, happening on November 2nd, complete with a prize pool! Check out the attached poster for all the details. Get ready to take on the Horde and prove your skills!
Additionally, we're launching The WAD Workshop - a monthly session where the community can playtest in-progress WADs and offer feedback to the creators. Our first session will feature DBAB4, the newest project in progress by Mechanix Union. Join us on Sunday, September 23rd for an exciting playtest and feedback opportunity. We're excited to see your submissions and to get everyone involved in shaping the future of Doom!
