Classic Doom Nightmare has demons respawn after 30-45 seconds, no longer have cooldown on their attacks, and their reaction time is bumped down to instant

That’s not really the right way to look at engines. An engine is not better than another engine that has a different role. For example, Bethesda’s Creation Engine is leagues ahead of every other engine at open world games, but doom 2016’s engine is leagues ahead of creation engine at fast paced linear fps games. Likewise what the Halo infinite engine’s role is different from that of Doom’s engine.

Really depends on your playstyle. For example if you're just starting for the rocket you'll want lock on while more advanced players will use remote detonation. For the heavy assault rifle most prefer rockets while I prefer tactical scope. For the guass some like precision bolt while I like seige mode and so on

Chaingun: Mobile Turret

I hope this helps you to understand why we limit memes so heavily in this community.

1. We want people to be here for DOOM and not for memes

In the past we had a population of users here which only wanted to throw some random memes into a specific channel. The health of the server suffered greatly from that and that's why we went so strict about it. Be here because you love DOOM and everything that comes with it and make sure there is some context if you post memes.

2. No oversight evolves into bigotry

Despite the fact that we have mods from multiple time zones to ensure this place is safe and enjoyable for everyone, there may be cases when we are not looking at the chat. If left unattended, the memes being posted will start to turn hateful, and it may take a few minutes for the moderation team to react.
We actively work to prevent this from happening.

3. Out of context memes kill conversations

This is by far something a lot of people have been bummed with. Since we got so many channels to pipeline discussions with like-minded people it could turn into a whole other mess if people just post random memes or other forms of content that can derail a whole conversation.

I actually find them pretty similar, I can switch from classic to new pretty easily. As for the shield soliders use the stun mod with your plasma or grenades at their feet. Basically any explosive at their feet will mess them up

Try to avoid glory kills as much as possible on un unless you know the arena is clear or you're safe to do so. Generally I try to avoid it
