closest i've come to getting glitched out of a UN run (aside from some railing boosts flinging me off the map before i learned to be ultra careful around them) is almost falling/clipping through the floor on Vega Central Processing while traveling 5000 mph with Berserk + rune speed boosts
ironically i was able to warp my way back through the floor with another target to berserk warp to, saving 12 levels of progress, lol
woulda been pissed if i didn't miraculously salvage the run like that

I have a theory. Tyrants are just young Cyberdemons. The one that Doomguy fought in the Tower of Babel (E2M8) was a Tyrant and after the fight since it was still somewhat alive according to DOOM 2016 it aged and the way it looks in 2016 is the result of a fully grown Tyrant.

I just had trouble getting it all set up with a source port so this remaster just makes it easy
Plus I get to play with all my friends
I really hope the support the shit out of this new version of quake with mods and add ons for single player, expand multiplayer to do online or local add on play, and add more game modes to multiplayer like capture the flag or the original quake team fortress. With cross play at 100% I think this could really bring life back into quake for the multiplayer scene

Does anyone have an suggestions for a hybrid controller trackball layout keymap? Before anyone asks, I have some disabilities that make wasd gamepay painful. I'm thinking about playing with half of an xbox controller or a knockoff VR controller and my logitech M570. I just don't know yet what buttons I am going to need to be pressing the most yet. Xbox controller might not even be feasible without remapping some keys and that does not appear to be doable without third party software. i recommend using a ps4 controller, the left thumbstick is easier to reach and for the aiming problem, use a mouse in your right hand and controller in your left hand, most games have a setting to play with both at once

Tbh I’ve only played Arcade Mode on Ultra Nightmare so all I know is in UN you cannot die, like at all or else you need to restart, and the DoomGuy toys that are normally Extra Lives, now just give you extra points, no Lives like in the other difficulties. Also I think it’s fair to point out, Nightmare and Ultra Nightmare are basically the same difficulty it’s just that in UN, you cannot die, I’m just not sure how the Extra Lives work on Nightmare.

So I bought this game today and it first launched perfectly and I got to change all my settings and the api to Vulkan but after the restart, everytime I started the game it gets to the main menu and stutters for a sec after choosing a mode and gives an error called: vkAquireNextImageHKR failed with error(VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST)
This also stops my mouse from working and showing up so I have to keep restarting my pc.
I'm using latest gpu drivers, latest windows 10, tried turning off windows defender, as well as even launching the exe in the files, I can't seem to find this error anywhere and don't know how to fix this

I did a couple nightmare no death runs first to nail down my trouble areas
