A really easy strat for easily mastering micro missiles... in Argent Facilty, there's this gray room that kinda looks like it has some grass inside big glass containers.... on the bottom floor there's a big group of zombies. The mastery challenge I believe is to stick 4 demons in what, 4 - 6 seconds? This group of zombies is perfect for completing the challenge

The imps and blaster soldiers in eternal are mostly there to keep you from getting complacent and losing your momentum

As long as you are moving and periodically filling up on resources, they aren't high priority

Fodder demons in eternal spawn in constantly, so you can't exactly keep track of them easily. Your best bet to not get ambushed is to actually look where your moving and clear a path of necessary

(though, gargoyles sometimes catch you at a bad moment and wreck you with their melee)

The Ammo Boost Rune.

If you remember, when you damage the Hell Guards to a certain degree, they'll stagger and drop some Health and Ammo. With a fully upgraded Ammo Boost Rune equipped, you'll double the amount of Ammo the Hell Guard will drop when staggered. Couple this with the fully upgraded Vacuum Rune, and you'll draw in the Health and Ammo drops from much farther away.

Remember, the Hell Guard is vulnerable when charging up its yellow beam attack. Shoot it during the charge up to stagger it (making it drop Health and Ammo) and to give you an opening to unload more damage onto it.

imps throw fireballs based on your movement direction you can avoid them easily if you always keep in mind the imps location, the shield guys spam shoot you if you get close and their shield doesn't melt as fast as doom eternal. Trying to get behind them is a chore when theres more enemies but grenades and rpgs work

2016 is just way harder for the mobility reason for me

but if you were to get hit by even a fodder, you will die in 3 seconds even with max hp because they all do so much damage

@compact hare The Pinkies are actually a lot easier than you think. It's best to just think of them as a charging bull and you're a matador. Just side step them as they charge towards you, and then immediately turn around and unload into their tail. They're armored in front but weak in the rear. A fully upgraded and mastered Super Shotgun will blow them to pieces.

The difference is in eternal it has some hits that take a massive chunk and then follow by instant tick damage
Namely cyber manc slime and dread knight slam

Pinkies have 2 ways to avoid them

@queen oyster i was an over-ambitious slayer and killed cyberdemon with the BFG in phase one. then I realized there was a phase-two - and i had no more BFG ammo. It made me have to rely on the Gauss Cannon

It will give you a much bigger edge. The more Secrets you find, the more Weapon Upgrade Points you get rewarded which you can spend on upgrading your Weapon Mods. On top of that, finding more Praetor Tokens on the dead Elite Guards will help you upgrade your Praetor Suit abilities. Also, finding the hidden Classic Maps and killing the enemies inside will also contribute to your Combat Rating and reward more Weapon Upgrade Points.

And completing the Mission Challenges also awards Weapon Upgrade Points. Simply put, 100 percenting gives you the maximum rewards for powering up all across the board.

You can replay any maps you've completed in the Mission Select screen, and anything you find or get awarded in a replayed mission that you previously missed will be saved and carried over to any new map.

Do keep in mind though that even when fully powered up, Nightmare is still difficult. I only just recently beat Nightmare difficulty for the first time after owning the game for almost five years. Granted, I play with a controller instead of a keyboard & mouse so I was at something of a disadvantage, but there's a big difficulty gap between Ultra-Violence and Nightmare.
