It all depends on the situation. There's nothing more effective than dropping into an engie nest with a good demo (or pushing a long sentry sightline with a soldier) and full uber, but the problem with pubs is half the time I pop a demo or soldier they explosion jump away; I'm not kidding. If I don't know the person, I'd rather pop a pyro or heavy and get a more consistent return on investment (plus being behind a meat shield for when the uber is over). But rule number 1 is pop it dont drop it; better to pop it on a sniper or scout and get yourself and potentially someone else out of a bad situation. I usually run quick-fix on defense because I think people are sleeping super hard on it due the fact that it is super OP for keeping half the team alive; regular uber on defense is good as a second med just to tie the offense up and slow them down (sorry thats not doom-related mods, pls forgive)

ngl after playing eternal, the weapon mastery challenges is 2016 are so stupid and create a really weird meta. Like, i have to herd zombies into groups to kill 2 with the ssg, its really counter intuitive. Same goes for siege mode mastery, and even precision on the gauss cannon - headshotting hellknights is super difficult unless you use the stunbomb, which again, restricts your playstyle.

If you shoot the BFG and intentionally miss, you can use your weapon wheel to slow down time while the projectile is still in the air, but the damage from the tethers coming off the projectile will still deal damage in real time

So you can get crazy amounts of damage by just letting the projectile basically hover over the Cyberdemon

Yea falling in 2016 is the most frustrating thing of all time

I like how 2016 for the most part let's you just use whatever gun you want

I also like how eternal forces you to switch around because owning eternal doesn't make 2016 feel obsolete because they honestly play very differently in my opinion

2016 feels more like a modern classic doom where you can just say "heck it" and shoot stuff

Yep. I use the Super Shotgun for about 95% of my encounters, only switching to Gauss Cannon, chaingun, or Rocket Launcher for certain situations

on Ultra Violence you take 50% more damage and pickups are worth less, and there's supposedly more enemies. Nightmare makes pickups give even less and you take 90% more damage
