Nah, there isn’t anything like that in 2016. Heatblast is a great mod. Siege mode as well. Remote Detonation is Op when fully upgraded. I’d say it’s between those three. But pick whatever fits your play style the best.

All of them are overpowered if you fully upgrade them. Especially siege. Heatblast is good for getting rid of large amounts of fodder surrounding you, or faltering bigger demons.

Eh Plasma rifle isn’t that viable in this game. I mean the only thing it does better than the rest of the weapons is burn down plasma shields from elite guards faster.

Wish I could give you meaningful ones. Truly 2016’s Nightmare boils down to both skill and luck. Though I will say, once you pass that fourth level, you should be fine the rest of the way through. Very few difficulty spikes. Cyberdemon might ruin your day with its beam, but that’s about it.

if you just want to farm the upgrade there's a room about halfway through Titan's Realm with a bunch of Lost Souls pre-spawned. Fire a BFG into the room and as it's traveling blow yourself up with a rocket. You should get it in one try.
