there were only 2 trials that I missed on my first playthrough, and of those that I did, only 1 really gave me too much trouble. Definitely a fun break from the action of the level.

I enjoy finding the secrets more than envy thing just because I don’t have games that encourage you to explore like doom does. But the rune trials are the best things I enjoy when it comes to combat. Plus they help me get better at the game

you guys know that rail boost glitch? if you have a rail at default rail height, and you stand in front of it, then press jump and hold your weapon wheel button, it will pause the game at the exact moment you are able to rail boost. and you can boost as much as you want, and it would let people who have weak pcs have a better chance at railboosting in speedruns, idk if it's already known, but i just found this out

Well for me I think 2016 is harder on Nightmare because getting hit is much more fatal and less forgiving, in Eternal you have the flame beltch, glory kills give you more health, in 2016 you don't have the flame beltch so for armor it's mostly pick ups and Siphon grenade, for health it's also siphon grenade, pick ups or glory kills which give you very low health in 2016

In Eternal I don't feel that bad when I get hit, in 2016 though it feels like I shouldn't ever get hit because in Eternal getting hit is more forgiving as you can get resources back easily

Hell Knights aren't too bad, but they hit very hard on Nightmare especially in 2016, always stay on the move, lock on, SSG, explosive shots from the shotgun, and especially Siege mode kills them instantly

It's definitely rough going back. The loss of dash specifically makes you feel so handicapped and slow. I still enjoy 2016 and I think it's the better game overall (especially in atmosphere/lore/world-building) but Eternal has the better combat, and combat is why I play DooM.
