@compact hare Coming from someone that loves classic Doom 2016 is a breath of fresh air as it goes back to what makes the series fun and improves on the formula. Well worth it.

If you are sticking with reboots, I am not sure I can recommend getting classics as both Doom 1 and 2 are fully included in Eternal as an Easter Egg.

Aesthetically it was definitely superior. It also brought back that speed and movement from the classics with a modern injection on top of it all. Just all together perfect blend of mechanics, aesthetics and gameplay. Also had alot of room to grow.

I have heard of that. Not a bug as that is intended after exiting and when you backtracked it shut you out. The only way to fix that is to restart mission. Items you earned already should be saved though.

I feel you. You’re not the only one backtracking. Learning with save system and had to go back a few times on older levels to get secrets and stuff I missed, some of which had to be repeated a few times.

DLC trophies require you to reach Prestige 8 and finish a challenge that involves killing the MVP 5 times in a single match. Which also means you need to play 4 more matches too for that

You get good with the scope heavy rounds its useful for sniping imps and you can even take out hellknights insanely fast
