like for example - first UAC arena. You don’t need to ever touch a possessed. The trigger enemies are soldiers and imps. They open the gate.
Or final dnur arena, byte said, it’s a collective 250% damage to the mancs to wave in the barons.
And I’ve seen a caco despawn in there too when the barons are dead

Berserk, at least in 2016, is the only powerup in which the powerup timer doesn’t drain during a glory kill animation. Therefore, it’s beneficial to chain GKs together, keep them going, even if you are trying to get across the map to a certain enemy or something.

I mean I probably wouldn't recommend Nightmare to anyone playing on their first playthrough.
I beat the game casually on Ultra-Violence, then 100%'ed it on the same save file, then played on Nightmare with a vague memory of like 90% of where all the secrets are, so I was pretty beefed up by halfway through the Nightmare run.

charge the siege and peak out from something for a head shot. they are so slow that as long as you aren't dealing with another aggressive threat, you can usually 2-3 shot them

The secret to that fight is grabbing the quad damage instantly and murdering them all with super shotty/rocket

If you're not having fun, you shouldn't force yourself to play. But that's how I got through it. Putting 100% focus on a game that's brutally hard would have gotten way too frustrating otherwise. Plus, the game gets easier past the first 3 levels.

The problem I have with Nightmare is cheap hits. Cheap hits that instantly atomize all my armor and a chunk of my health too. Getting better gear and skills does not remove that problem, only put a bandaid on it.

Does anyone play with the steelseries 710 mouse? I was just given one by a friend and I'm trying to see if there is anything useful I can do with the tactile feedback settings. If you've never heard of this you can set the mouse to vibrate on key presses, mouse presses. You can also make it do like a notification after so many seconds. I think a vibrate on timer for grenades coming off cooldown could be handy.

I usually do the first one in the first fight outside. There's that big grey box you can jump off, so if you let the hell knight chase you around it until you stagger it, just jump on the box, then jump off in its direction and you should be fine
Though watch out some sometimes hell knights cheat and have a tiny stagger period... not much you can do about it

You can pretty much wombo a hell knight with the early game weapon switch of: CSG Grenade Launcher -> 6 insta micromissiles -> Lockon RPG
It's a slow rotation without the fast weapon switching but, it's by far the fastest way before you get super shotty & gauss
