uhhhh keep your health, armor, and dps high. if you tend to get overwhelmed while under pressure easily (like myself) then it will obviously be harder for you.

also utilize absolutely everything. ice bomb, meathook, etc.

important: do not pick up full auto.

You don’t have to, I’d recommend memorizing what upgrades you’ll take and when, and get comfortable using all of your weapons. You won’t have ssg ballista for a while, so get used to using the first three guns

That’s the hardest level of the game so don’t feel bad about losing extra lives. There are a lot more in the game anyway.

To clarify, it’s hardest based on not having a lot of high-damage weapons

But when you get super shotgun you can use it with assault rifle with sniper scope and its not a small amout of damage if you use with it rocket launcher and grenade

The Azeron DOES count as both a keyboard + a controller (when watching gameplay that shows binds, it will often switch between keyboard keys vs. buttons because the control stick is a "controller stick").

This is usually only a problem when the video games themselves can't handle the swapping between controller vs. keyboard, as then you need to "rebind" the analog stick and have it has key inputs instead (i.e. WASD). But in Dooms case, you can play with a controller + keyboard at the same time without hassle, so they same for using the Azeron.

If you mean the spirit, spirits are specifically and uniquely coded to only possess certain demons, so most likely you'd never see a spirit whiplash.

Also, 2 or 3 charge Dblade makes quick work of spectre Whiplashes. Normal Whiplashes too, but obviously it's more useful for spectres since it's hard to keep track of them + no LOB
