The big weapons used for quick swaps are SSG, PB, rockets, and Ballista, so having those available on binds can help you set up your quick swaps.

Even if you use weapon wheel button for quick swaps anyways, it's useful to have the weapon binds because you can set up your 2 weapons for quick swapping (press weapon wheel swaps to "the last weapon", so if you equip PB and then equip Rocket, you're now set up for PB rocket swaps with weapon wheel).

This is fair (and probably better advice). I'll admit I look at it from speedrunning in addition to general content, and using weapon wheel would always be slow. But for casual play that's never going to matter, so whatever's more comfortable for the person is best.

Yeah it’s really a matter of “Fire All!” For the first 5 seconds, freeze the manc, then just clean up. I think I tend to do stickies/ grenades initially, then plasma rifle, freeze/lockon the manc, more stickies and SSG to clean up.

Random advice: plasma rifle is your friend during the first few levels. Especially slayer gates.

The obvious thing to say is we press WASD (or ESDF for some people) while just moving the mouse. 😛

That said, when I started trying to improve at FPS games, I started really paying attention to my sensitivity on my mouse. I also used to do wrist movement with the mouse with very high sensitivity, but most people suggest you use your arm to aim (both to prevent injuries to the wrist, and for generally better control, though the 2nd issue is sort of preference).

The big thing I do when I start any game is I make sure my sensitivity in game allows me to do a complete 360 if I drag my mouse from the right side of my keyboard to the right side of my mouse pad. That way I know exactly how far I need to move my mouse to do a 180, 360, or any other position really.

So for Ballista boosts I just move my mouse from the center position I keep it at to the right side (or left side), fire, and back. From there you develop the muscle memory on how to flick (or track depending on your aiming style/the game)

Yeah the difficulty level starts at about the difficulty of the last level of the campaign, and gets super hard by the end of TAG 1

I just beat UACA final encounter on the second try. I didn’t have any extra lives at that point and didn’t use BFG. That encounter used to be terrible for me.

I'm on attempt 4 of UN of the campaign. I finished the first two levels today and next is Cultist Base. I ran it on my NM save and only died at the second secret encounter. Everything else i got through no problem, though the mancubi scare me still before the rocket launcher lock-on is unlocked

I'm going to skip the second secret encounter as one weapon token for a medium-risk death isn't worth it.

But at least I'll have a maxed out rocket launcher lock-on & fast ssg

My personal weakness is that I don’t distance myself from my targets. And when I meet a stronger target I fixate, quit moving, and get overrun. Unload on him for a bit, then move on; he’s not going anywhere. Also make sure you aren’t surrounded when you do finish him, so you can use the microwave beam in peace.

Haven’t finished TAG part 2 yet but I’m very thankful it’s easier than part 1

Trial and error made it annoying but I feel like I’m better at the game now
