The big tyrant fight took maybe a dozen or so attempts, and Samur about 5-6 per phase. I used sentinel armor because I didn’t feel like getting stuck like I did in the really big Blood Swamp fight (that literally stopped me in my tracks for something like a month)

Awhile ago, I experimented with hitting spawn limit, and it ALMOST worked. If you prevent 1 of the first 2 spirits, you only need to beat 1 spirit to beat phase 2. Unfortunately the same isn't true for phase 5, that one softlocks.

Doom Eternal has an entity limit of 32, including the Slayer. That means only 31 demons (or the dogs on blood Swamps/world spear) can be spawned at one time. If more demons try to spawn, 1 of 2 things happen:

They get put into a weird queue, waiting to spawn

The game short circuits the fight and it gets completed.

The 2nd is most notable in Arc Complex, where if the Marauder doesn't spawn you complete the fight anyways.

For TAG1 Ultra Nightmare Restricted runs this is actually a detriment, because of you skip too many arenas, the demons behind don't despawn and you can softlock. So UN routing gets different from non UN, because you can't reload checkpoint on UN

I think it's in the video, but you can skip several fights in Holt and carefully kill only certain demons to get to 27, 28, 29, 30, or 31 demons existing when going into Samurs fight

Once I figured out how to do the actual skips I started just using noclip for testing purposes, but you could do it without console commands (it's just easier to test with noclip obv)

Yes. Restricted as a ruleset only bans certain tricks (and "out of bounds" which has a definition that mostly all encompassing). "Typically" the restricted rules for OOB are you can skip a fight as long as you're not going over

A: pits that have no death plane, or
B: going over invisible walls that don't despawn

There's a lot of technicalities I don't wanna get into, in practice the rules are simple, but getting to the rules as they are now was a pain XD

I will say don't do Brawler Mode, it's just very unfun.

But I do recommend trying no AC. I believe AC sort of makes it where the player doesn't have to think about their movement as hard, as they can overcorrect mistakes on a whim (like of they accidentally meathook toward an enemy, they can just hold backward and boom, no danger).

No AC teaches you how to be careful and make more impactful movement decisions in a way I think adds to the experience, even if it is objectively a worse option movement wise.

For health bars 1 and 2, she'll always do a spin attack, and of the rockets hit her wings they don't do damage to her since lock on rockets deal 875 direct 25 splash normally.

Most likely what happens in the variance on other health bars is one of 2 things: when the health bars first refill, there's a small amount of time where she's invulnerable, and potentially while the direct rocket might hit her, it's possible she moves in such a way where the splash damage does not hit her, resulting in a small but noticable difference.

The health values are accurate, they were all pulled directly from the game using cheat engine with the entity viewer I believe. Damage numbers were calculated using that as well

All in all the best strat for Khan Maykr is to PB Ballista the first health bar asap since she always starts with spin attack, health bar 2 you should try for lock ons but note she also starts this health bar with the spin attack (but you CAN time it well), and the other health bars you'll usually see people do 2 lock ons and then SSG shots in case she's just hanging on by a thread

But 3 lock ons is also safe.

That's my problem with burning all my rockets to take down one of her bars, I need to take my eyes off of her and the moment I do that she's gonna do something, the Khan hits like a truck, I think her golden blades do like 90 damage and the purple orb does like 200 and she's super trigger happy

I can gauruntee you he wasn't lucky with the drones because everyone who speedruns restricted gets the "same luck" (i.e. drones are rarely sparse).

As far as headshots goes, or shouldn't be a problem, but I dunno what to tell ya.

If you're not sticking to one side of the arena it's possible that you're avoiding drones, but if you mostly stick to the front/outskirts area then they should mostly congregate there.

Plus you could search for the drones after hitting her with the rockets since she's stunned for a bit, and then meathook + blood punch her, rather than doing it after.

it's really just practice and setting up right keys so you have easy time to chain the combos whilst you also move and dash around. It takes quite a while if you never used to anything like that before. You should use weapon keybinds that feel comfortable to you. That said, other than mouse wheel for jump, there's no objective benefit from any other keybind in game.

Typically you'll want the weapons that you want to swap faster between near your movement keys. So for me I did 1 shotgun 2 heavy rifle q rocket z super shotgun x ballista. Chaingun c which while not extremely close, it's close enough for when I need energy shield.

Chainsaw F because of I need iframes from fodder or something I need it ASAP, etc.

I think the farthest keybind buttons I have would be 3 for plasma, g for BFG, and t for mod swapping (and that's only because I have e punch r heavy rifle so I can do easy punch swaps)

Correct. Normally I use 2 for most swaps (pb ballista, pb rocket, etc) but for punch swaps since you need to do "punch -> weapon bind -> shoot -> punch -> weapon bind -> shoot" and my punch is normally on my mouse, i was fucking up with my aim, so having E as punch as well allowed me to easily do pb punch swaps with e -> r -> shoot -> e -> r -> shoot

It took me awhile to relearn my mod swap muscle memory though, and even now i'm not a fan of t for mod swaps, it was just the best option I had compared to my other binds.

Higher FPS increased the speed of meathook flings.

Slowing the game down with chrono strike or with the weapon wheel "increases the active frames that speed up your hook", resulting in a lot more speed than if you didn't slow the game down.

I’ve got a weird glitch on Reclaimed Earth. Twice now, this has happened. After all enemies are dead, gate won’t open. So I run around looking, and I come to a spot next to the booster in the pit, where my meathook finds a target. When I approach it, it deals damage. When I shoot it, it dies and I can proceed.

It is invisible. Today I used ice bomb on it and it didn’t become visible, but there was a small white patch on the floor.

Both Eternal and TAG II, I find bittersweet. The slayer’s main purpose now is to be called upon to fight the Hordes of Hell. He has no other life than to fight, which he may or may not find pleasure in. He’s no longer a complete human being, but rather a husk of his past self. He lived a life of trauma and pain, all to be put away for use again when Hell breaks through.

If you want Aurum, best thing to do would probably be to watch 100% or Restricted (i.e. No Major Glitch) speedruns and see what the best BFG would be.

But the long story short (that I'm sure Nutmilk would copy pasta) is Unmaykr damage is ok but BFG does said damage to multiple enemies, while.being easier to use, + stuns enemies (most notably the spirit enemies)

I'm aware. The best thing for that is to do meathook jumps before do the BFG.

In particular something like the left side trial in Blood Swamps, you can fire it from one corner to the other by doing jump, jump, meathook, jump, jump BFG

Tbh meathook jumps as a whole are something every player should be doing. If you're spending more time on the ground than in the air you're more at risk, etc.
