It's not necessary (no weapon really is) but in particular Arc Complex can be completely neutered with good Dblade usage. Other encounters too but Arc is like, the prime example

Base campaign doesn't require any specific weapon and doesn't force you to use anything.

The thing I always think about in terms of Dblade is that Dblade for twice the Ballista ammo does more than twice the damage, and that's if you're hitting 1 enemy. If you hit 2 enemies, you're doing twice the damage of a ballista to BOTH enemies. And from there it just gets ridiculous if you hit 3+ enemies

For modded content, usually I'll either Blood Punch if i have it, or frag/ice bomb and SSG from behind

For speedruns it's usually frag, ice bomb, or heat blast -> ssg from behind

If it's already charging at me, I won't even do the frag/ice, I'll just double jump over it and ssg it from behind.

Bpunches are good, mostly just round them off and use AOE weapons. Pinkies aren't that big of a threat in main combat, so I haven't really focused on ways to take them down quickly. Also you can CGS bruteforce them.

Everything can land headshots per say, every enemy has certain parts where weapon will deal 1.2 or 1.25 damage. A better way to put it would be that every weapon can land headshots, but only a few can destroy weak points.

The thing is that Dread Knights has the lowest health of the demons, so if you happen to get caught out of position before/after Berserk cooldown, SSG punch swaps can delete a DK. Obviously "just don't get caught out of position" but it's a very feast or famine playstyle with very middling neutral, if at all.

Aside from the obvious "use lock on and then refill ammo via Maykr Drones immediately after you blood punch her," use the boost pads in the arena + meathook quad jumps to completely avoid the floor is lava. Make sure you're using air Control as well so you can dodge stuff while in the air.

If you really need, you can also use Chrono Strike to get easy headshots on the Maykr Drones. And if you are doing lock on, remember you have to wait a little bit after her shield refills before she can be damaged, so don't do lock-on on IMMEDIATELY as her shield recharges, but a bit after
