Full Auto is great if you want to style on demons or maybe if you are playing anti-meta

a heavy has spawned outside bounds or got stuck / bugged out somewhere. Try BFG or reload checkpoint

World Spear seems to be buggy since rev 2 update

though it did work for me during my NM playthrough, even the dog didn't bug out

prowlers are extra prone to breaking, either they teleport outside arena and get stuck on geo or they just outright stop moving

so always carefully scan any arena for stuck or idling prowlers

before trying bfg or reload checkpoint

best example I've seen is indeed in world spear ml with the small room with biosuit, where it spawns 2 spectre pinkies, then a prowler and marauder + stone imp
Once the prowler started immediately running towards the barrier and glitched partially into it / above it
I was barely able to shoot it

The other major change I made was swapping glorykill with dash. I can now jump and dash without removing my thumbs from the joysticks. It’s a major improvement.

That said, I made it through UV on default controls. So you don’t have to change the controls to get better.

only advice I can give is that the meathook is your friend

I've never been able to beat it consistently, but the meathook can be used to quickly and easily fly over them and get to the other side of the the arena

I agree on setting it on the thumb stick. In my opinion, when you are playing on controller, you want to be able to: move, jump, dash, fire, activate weapon mod, and weapon switch without having to lift a thumb. It makes your movement better

I personally have set Dash and SSG on both thumbsticks.

But even so if you manage to time it so it lands on the baron unpossessed you're getting 70+ % of his health done.

A good tip that might help is to start a nightmare run and stop it at the Gladiator. That way you cab actually practice with the current stuff that you night have in the UN file without using full ammo/armor/health

Believe it or not, it is quite easy to kill it with the BFG. The timing is not difficult to get it right and it dies very quick after that. Plus, you can easily hit him twice since you will have 2 extra shots given after that battle anyways

I'll try to explain step-by-step what to do.

• fire precision bolt, keep holding fire, let go off alt fire
• swap to rl while holding fire
• the rl fires a rocket during bring up animation
• immediately after the rocket fires, let go of fire and hold alt fire (lock on)
• once locked on, tap fire and let go of alt fire
• second burst fires automatically as long as you do not touch fire or alt fire

(Holding down fire actually isn't necessary but it's easier to learn that way)

If you're having trouble with that arena still, you can get back up in the hole you drop down to get into the fog arena. The Marauder can't follow you up there, though if he has line of sight he can throw axes.

You can use this to let the fodder get closer and let your cooldowns recharge, on top of just sticky spamming from up there.

You can get back up via meathook jumps, ballista boosts, or just by doing a jump - dash - jump from the elevated platforms in the room.

As for the softlocks... reloading checkpoints has never been kind in master levels and unfortunately probably never will.
