There’s the “arena” with imps and soldiers and tentacles in trenches. Then you go through a tunnel that has cannons firing across it. Then you cross the chasm to kill the spider and a bunch of imps. Then the portal appears. If you don’t kill all the imps from the “arena” before the tunnel, the portal won’t appear.

Arc is... I dunno.. .Taras Nabad levels of difficult, i.e. not very?
SGN ML is harder than TAG1 but also shorter, so not terrible.
Taras Nabad is a fucking slog, but not as hard as SGN. Some people struggle with some encounters but honestly, there's not many encounters legitimately harder. Just some are waaaay too long.
Similarly Mars Core can be a slog in some encounters. I think Mars Core starts really well, decent mix of hard but not too long, but (assuming you're not using BFG) the fights get way too drawn out after you would normally get the BFG in base game.
World Spear is the opposite, fucking sloooog of a level until you get around to where the fountain fight is in base game, from there the fights are still difficult but overall typically well crafted. There's one fight with a buff totem where you really need to search for the buff totem, and the ending can be rough if you don't use Hammer well."

the way bhopping works is that speed gain/conservation is caused by jumping as soon as possible after your landing frame, and the game will register inputs less often at lower fps (high fps = more chances to hit frame perfect bhop)

Air camping is a little complex, it requires dashing in the air which makes you stationary, and in general you need to take into account the type of enemy you're fighting. Air camping against cybers is useless since they hit so quickly and projectiles have a fair reach, but hell knights are imobilised. In general you should not focus on air camping but rather switching your position rapidly in the arena. That is the best defence against most demon attacks.
