Hey this is real. And UV in 2016 is harder than UV in Eternal. I personally start on the lowest levels and then work my way up. Eternal is hard the first playthrough! Keep going and it will get easier 🙂

I already deleted the game I'm ticked off by that decision the mod launcher offers to launch the normal game as well yet the normal game runs too like tf

Right-click Doom Eternal in your Steam library, and choose "Manage" > "Browse local files". This will open Doom Eternal's game installation in File Explorer.
Hold Shift while right-clicking "DOOMEternalx64vk.exe", and choose "Copy as path".
Right-click Doom Eternal in your Steam library again, and choose "Properties..." > "General".
Click in the "Launch Options" field, delete all text currently there, press Ctrl+V to paste the path that you copied earlier, make a space, and then type %command% afterwards.

After this, when you launch Doom Eternal through Steam, it should completely bypass/ignore the game's launcher.

playing in a way that's fast paced is at the surface level just utilizing quick swaps, and momentum gain and loss
you wanna be lurch hopping, ballista bosting, and yeethooking (more than you would normally), while using your dashes frequently

you want to single dash, which is only using the first dash, and you wanna dash as soon as it's off cooldown

doing that very precisely while quivk swapping is one of rhe most mechanically advanced skills

you have to move 2 fingers at one timing, then another at 500ms intervals, and then move at the same time

Good to hear, on another note, my controllers drift makes this game unplayable, when aiming, if it were on mouse, a good comparison would be to be kicked in the arm every time I touch the stick, so sadly I won't be playing until I start working some day and can afford a new controller.

If you open the settings menu for doom eternal at any point after launching the game with wifi on a bethesda notification will pop up that disables any other actions and never loads. It just says "loading..." forever. The only way to fix this is by closing the game, and reopening it without wifi turned on. Then you can actually access the game settings

Blood Swamps might be in my top 5 favourite Doom Eternal levels ngl

It has the perfect amount of difficulty for me, tough but not so tough that it stars to annoy me like the coin room in the Taras Nabad master level

I used to constantly try to quick swap the heavy bolt and rocket launcher and killed myself in the process, just shoot rockets relatively close to his guns and he’ll stagger

Kaiser campaign is so unstable

I crashed like 5 times on the golden doom hunter fight

Just not even fun anymore

Mind you my game never crashed in the Bo-bomb battlefield level

Where there was like 40 enemies on screen and several of them being modded

biggest issues would be ballista boosting, which if yout sensitivity doesn't really allow for, it'll be a bit more niche
bhops are also harder, but very doable

I still need all of the achievements but i just cant find a lobby but apparently you can earn the achievements in private matches aswell. I switched to a beta branch in Steam and it's working again. However, just running the game on Linux does not mean lots of bugs in general. Not from my experience, I've run this game for years on Linux without problems 😉

Somehow I experienced lots of bugs because of linux so I switched to another os, not to mention that there are people who experienced lots of bugs on doom eternal randomly, the solution was either playing the game on a beta branch or re-downloading the game

it's not wrong, destroying the shield takes 50 plasma cells with the microwave beam (your most precious ammo type), and it changes literally nothing as long as you're hitting the hunter's sled and not the shield

it only makes it possible to use lob, and the ssg does 50% more damage

it's much quicker to kill him without destroying his plasma shield

Remember vaguely the order and place that demons spawn in encounters, do not by shy to use your strongest ammo, NEVER stand still.

Low on ammo? Frag grenades are your best friends.

It's good to be efficient with your ammo, especially in the early levels, so you can know exactly which weapons to use against who, save gas so you can chainsaw the archnotrons in level 1

It destroys them but they don't burst. I had the same thought, went back and tested it. It destroys them better than other weapons.
