I completely forgot the duration. All I remember is that it's active as long as you fire the weapon

the bats state doesn't really have any duration of time for which it lasts, all you're doing is transfering the bring-up speed from one weapon to another

which is remembered even if you punch, and you can continue to transfer it by MSC-ing

so silent BATS doesn't even necessarily have anything to do with normal BATS, only if you go from hc/pr/chaingun to rl/ballista/csg

My only indicator that it works is that you can't see your hand holding the weapon lol

if you wanna get really technical, you can have successfully done BATS without the hand disappearing, and the hand can disappear without you doing BATS
the hand disappearing is one of the side effects of a combo swap chain (CSC), which i assume you are familiar with since you knew about fblade, and a CSC is triggered via MSC, SMS, or silent BATS, so the hand disappearing can happen in a few ways
BATS is usually done via a MSC, but can also be done by going into any animation (like a monkey bar, glory kill, chainsaw) with a fast bring up weapon (so here you can initate BATS via the ssg because it has a fast bring-up speed, which is kinda neat) and then buffering the input (just spam it lol) of a slow bring-up weapon

if you wanna know if your BATS worked, just check if the ballista/rocket/combat shotgun had an extra fast bring-up

I managed to kill one marauder.

Before I freaked out after getting low.

And dying.

I was so close.

I don't even have the extra life anymore.

That helped calm my nerves so much.

I know I can do it now.

If I killed one marauder when 2 exist.

I can do it, for sure.
I hate though that the other demons will respawn infinitely.

Whiplashes, Cyber Manubus, Hell knights.

Honestly.
I don't think it's fair to infinitely be respawning demons I've already killed.
3 respawns, is more than enough.

Infinite, is not fair in my opinion.

It gives the player a false sense that they can possible isolate the arena to the two marauders.

it's basically 100% reliant on how willing the marauder is to approach you

and all the mecha zombie and shield soldier projectiles just make the marauder pop his shield up every 2 seconds, so he rarely ever actually approaches you

This arena made me have to take a 4 day break away from the game.

Because I genuinely didn't know what I was doing wrong.

some fights in eternal just have a specific order you need to kill stuff in lol
like the first fight in the holt when the possessed hell knight and the 2 cyber mancs spawn
if you kill the mancs before the hell knight, all the other crap spawns and the fight gets 10x harder
but if you kill the hell knight first, the enemies only spawn after the last manc dies so it's easier

I think that's the worst part of Eternal.
