Is it known what determines whether or not a Marauder will spawn a wolf after blocking shots with his shield? I never shoot the shield but the crossfire from other demons constantly trigger the marauder to block though I've never seen any consistency with the wolf spawns. Is it just random? Like every time he blocks a projectile it just rolls like a 1 in 3 chance of spawning a wolf or...?

Play on the easiest difficulty, you won't be able to replay levels from what I remember so you need to collect extra lives whenever you get the opportunity. Save the crucible shots for the archvile;

Ice bomb works on the doom hunter, combined with the suit equipment upgrade that makes frozen demons take 4x damage it becomes a breeze. Use all of your equipment all the time, and respect the rocket launcher

I finished it with around 21 extra lives still remaining, and wasn't even actively gunning to find them by going out of my way

As for battlemode trophies you can boost them with friends, all of them can be earned in custom matches. No crossplay unfortunately

fire dblade, keep holding m2, go into the weapon wheel, and swap away from any of these mods with your mod swap bind: sticky bombs, microwave beam, micro missiles, lock-on burst or shield

then just let go of weapon wheel and boom

you have to do it somewhat quickly but timing is very lenient

you can do the same for arbalest, but swap away from the opposite mods

yeah thats the thing - people use the term "forced raytracing" - and don't realize the game has no baked lighting in it at all - raytracing is not an option that can be turned off - the game's lighting is built with it

The hammer can be spammed so frequently it’s the most busted item in the game

Like yes, technically the bfg and crucible kill while the hammer doesn’t, but the hammer gives you free kills and you can charge it in 2 seconds with arachnotrons and mancubi there and just keep spamming it allowing you to easily kill whole rooms of heavies/super heavies

I have officially beaten Doom Eternal on Nightmare difficulty for the first time.

I feel like on nightmare, the first four levels are quite rough but once you finish doom hunter base, the game just gets significantly easier. Even final sin isn’t too bad as long as you remember to use your bfg and crucible where applicable

its really just staying locked in early game, you don't have many upgrades or guns, health and ammo is more limited, and overall it's just a lot harder. Once you get ssg mastery and a few good upgrades like double grenades and hot swapper, things get a lot easier

that doesnt mean that you can breeze through things, it's still nightmare after all

there are plenty of guides online for help as well

Open a nightmare save along with your UN run and play a level multiple times over until you feel confident you can beat it without dying. If an encounter is really hard play it, and once it’s almost over reload checkpoint until you can consistently beat it

They can spawn right behind you, they respawn, and they all do a lot of damage. Theres many times where ill get body blocked by an imp or gargoyle that just spawned behind me

Not to mention, some of them have a lot of health like the terminator flamethrower guys. And the gargoyles fill the arena so damn much its kinda hard to dodge all the projectiles

When the game spams fodder demons theyre a bigger threat than anything else tbh

(Btw im halfway through the game already on nightmare mode on console. All slayer gates beaten on nightmare so its not like im trash)

so, pretty much, I was destroying a giant heart and I had to run away to escaped and there was a bunch of demons, and there was two of the big fat ones and I was stuck on low ammo so I could kill then and I couldn’t chainsaw them because I only had one fuel, so I had to kill a regular demon and then kill the two big ones to escape before everything exploded.

And after 6 hours, I completed it first try the next day.

Was watching my brother win game after game as archvile last night. None of the slayers knew how to play properly.
They just kept using big guns for damage instead of actually using the guns proper like. Plus none of them tried using their utility.

I mean it’s definitely outclassed by the destroyer blade, but it’s still pretty useful for PE’s and cacos. Granted yes only two enemies being weak to it is kind of lame but at least it’s relegated to the only enemies you can’t 100% cheese by just being mid-air. I’m also under the impression that it’s more or less inferior simply because of how good the Dblade is as opposed to the arbalest just sucking. Also if you know weapon tech you can use this to get fast dblade or use double arbalest to insta-stagger a pain elemental

Could someone help me stat-? I'm trying to stream Doom Eternal on PC and am having issues.

My drivers are updated, screen recording isn't on, and I verified the files, etc. yet the same thing happens.

I'm on a new save and whenever I get the flame belch and the upgrade & enter the portal for level two. The game freezes after the transition on a black screen, i'm in the middle of streaming right now so I could REALLY use some immediately if possible!!!

I should mention that i've played it before on PC Btw!!! This is a new save.
