the spirit felt really cheap to add, the new monsters in tag1 were basically the turret the spirit and the blood maykr. they could have split the tag2 monsters in tag1 so they arent thrown in your face without any buildup or practice i guess. u dont get an idea of what you are going to fight in tag2 and i feel like its either too many new demons or bad implementation across the dlcs

im all for new demons and making the game harder but it felt weird having barely something new in tag1 and everything in tag2, they could have spread them across the dlcs is what im trying to say

I like cursed prowlers because they only gain that immunity upon you getting hit by them meaning you can dispatch them if you’re quick and ript soliders have a weakness to any splash damage giving you a multitude of ways of dealing with them

Turrets, blood maykrs, armored barons require you to do the same pb or ballista all the time

Screechers are just the worst all the time

Spirits are fine but not my cup of tea

Stone imps are just a nuisance, and I don’t care about the rest enough to name them

but blood maykrs on the other hand i think are a great enemy, you should be quick switching and including pb and ballista in your combos, and blood maykrs give you a pretty big window to snipe them, so you should be able to take care of them completely naturally

you don't have to wait for them to do any attack either, they give a clear audio and visual cue for when you can hit them, meaning you can just turn their direction, snipe them, move on

and they drop a full stack of ammo, meaning they can actually be helpful, so you'll have to decide if you really want to kill them

all i can say is to just play it tbh

over time you will get better

Death is natural, learn from it, also keep moving (in circular patterns to throw off ranged demons), abuse weakpoint, make sure to use your equipment such as your flame belch, bombs, blood punch, and chainsaw.

Most importantly, avoid being cornered, when your in an arena, make your next move that gives you as many options as possible, because the game will try to take a lot of them away

Also, combat shotgun stick bomb is very powerful early on, but later will be used mainly for weakpoint shooting

so I’d say classic mode nightmare is harder for the fact that if you’re dying on it and not UN, well it’s harder, and if you’re not, then they’re functionally identical except for the classic mode mechanic, making it harder by default

I’m also trying to do UN on ps5, I still haven’t done it yet cuz of midterms and all, but I really recommend having a nightmare save and playing the mission your gonna be doing on your UN save

That helps you situate your self in most of the encounters

Also, don’t rely on saving throw (rune) that much, it is only a single extra life

Compared to some upgrade that helps you evade death in general

Rapid fire weapons already don’t blend well with eternals combat system, not only that, but the fact that its a rapid fire weapon that incentivizes close range, sure it outmatches the bfg in terms of direct damage, but tendrils as a factor letting you just wipe away an entire arena with a single left click is going to be the better option basically every single time compared to something that does less, requires more thought, and takes the same ammo, people can use it for fun, but its utility is objectively outclassed, which rubs me the wrong way considering the player has to go out of their way to get it
