you should learn what guarantees each enemy into glory kill state

another example the mancubus you can do a rocket+ballista combo, another rocket, and a PB to get him in glory kill state

or a lob and 2 PB's

you have tons of options you shouldnt just stick to ssg+ballista

once each time booting into the fortress of doom, you can go down there and do the encounter, and then that's it for the ripatorium

i thought it was gonna be like after final sin you could select which of the encounters you wanted to do or have the endless survival mode or something
or even just being able to do it more than once per load

full charge (50 ammo, 2400 dmg) is roughly a 40% damage increase when compared to 2 base fire shots (50 ammo, 1720 dmg)

so if there's a situation where you wanna hit an enemy with 2 consecutive or near consecutive ballista shots, it's arguably better to store an fblade beforehand and use that instead

Yeah you’ve got to let it flash, then shoot immediately afterwards. It’s weirdly timed, I won’t lie. I haven’t played in a bit but I remember doing him hitless, and that was the trick. Maybe it’s bugged now? But you could try and see if it works. Otherwise just dash to your left or right after that sequence to avoid getting hit.

Use the ballista to ensure you hit him directly afterwards. Or PB.

the game definitely advocates for an aerial playstyle though

I played 2016 all day and I got bored despite the peak storyline, all the weapons feel so underpowered. Super shotty really needs the spice of the meat hook, the normal shotty feels weaker too. RL is worse at single target, and everything has slower fire rate. Plasma gun is fine, gauss is slower than ballista. And you have to switch to chainsaw too. I hope dark ages doesn’t have a slow feel as in the entire gameplay. I’d love it if it was just slower movement, not entire gameplay (story progression, mission progression, and combat)

I’m so hyped for dark ages, I just hope it gets all the good from both games (good storyline, something new, and fun fighting)
2016 lacks fun fighting
eternal feels a lot more arcade-y, so it’s harder for the game to feel as cinematic or serious

I personally found the weapons in 2016 being more OP, SSG kills Barons up close with 6 shots, the chaingun was good, Gauss canon(siege) mode was busted. Late game these are strong

But don’t worry, I think DA will have a perfect blend of everything
