I’m not that of an expert in the area of computers, but since these are moments when a lot of things get moved out of and into the RAM I would advise you to closely look at taskmanagers stats about your RAM while playing

If you have lots of RAM used by other stuff than the game you can fix that (I don’t know the best way of doing that) or you could upgrade your hardware to have more RAM

This is only possible for pc (unless you know how to modify consoles), maybe someome else knows possible fixes for console

What I always do is
Meathook, jump to detach (if you're above the enemy you're meathooking you want to break lose as soon as possible), when you start falling jump again (you always get back a jump after using the meathook), and when you start falling again, dash and then you can meathook again.

But, if you're out of dashes or you want to conserve them you can: meathook, jump to detach and shoot a ballista shot to the ground (you want to shoot the ballista shot while you're moving up from the jump or it will barely do anything), jump again and shoot the ballista to the ground and now you can meathook again.

Usually if there is a meathook node around, you can meathook it and then an enemy, and then you can do the ballista strategy, but with only 1 ballista shot. This is because meathook nodes are elevated so you get more height by meathooking them, meaning this also applies if you're just high in the air. How much you have to aim down your ballista shots will depend on the situation and you just have to get a good feeling for it.

You want to get good at staggering pain elementals/cacos in the air for when you run out of dashes, since if you GK any of them you get them back.

With practice you can quick switch fast but there is a speed limit by your fps so i use a certain mod that remove the limit to let me quick switch like i have high fps

You’re not being hindered much in that regard at 120FPS

a lot of speed tech can benefit from higher framerate but something more basic like quickswitching reaches diminishing returns fairly quickly, meaning 120FPS would be fine

I want to incorporate a little bit of microwave beam, heat blast and full auto, I actually think full auto can be useful if you swap to it with a silent mod swap
And remote detonate I'd say I'm already decently proficient with, although I may try to use a little bit of lock-on outside of bypassing the marauder's green eye attack

Even with a mod making the heat blast charge half of what it normally is, I really don't use it that much though, especially not if I wanna use microwave beam too

Silent mod swapping is when you input the bind for a weapon, and then your mod swap button
This way you'll have swapped mods for the weapon you originally was in without doing the animation

The timing can be a bit tough, but it's the best way to seamlessly incorporate multiple mods into your gameplay

Yeah, it's a very good idea to start using Linux on a VM or hardware you don't care about

because you can very easily wipe the wrong drive if you don't know what you're doing

also, here's a tip

don't dualboot Linux and Windows on the same drive

that can cause several issues

if you need Windows, install it on another drive or use a VM
