I'd say you can actually find some usage for FA, arbalest and remote det and incorporate them seamlessly via SMS, but micro missiles and mobile turret are redundant because low DPS compared to quick switching

The multuplayer is worse than 2016, it only has 1 mode and the community is very divisive on whether or not that mode is good. Personally I enjoy the multiplayer in eternal, I just also feel that 2016's is way better. Horde mode is fine I guess it's just kinda like even more singleplayer but now there's a points system. It's fine for a couple playthroughs but I wouldn't really do more than that tbh. Maybe that's just me tho, idk

Yeah snapmap is awesome, if you've ever played Mario Maker, it's kinda like that. People can create custom levels and modes using the level creator. There are some very creative and fun experiences out there that you can find with it. I'm sure some kind of hordemode or endless mode exists somewhere within snapmap, given snapmap's vastness. The great thing is that snapmap levels are cross-platform, you can play any level that was ever made on any platform, as long as the creator uploaded it.

The game does this "silly things" so often that it's starting to exhaust my patience

Things like making you fight 2 marauders at once, making a normal arena way longer and harder than a slayer gate, make you fight against a marauder with a buff totem and more things

I feel like I'm playing those unfair extra chapters in doom classic like thy flesh consumed

I think the main issue with some things is they become gimmicks after a while, like the fact there’s 7 double marauder encounters throughout the entire game, all of which are after the base campaign, it was cool and novel the first time, a little cool the second time, and very repetitive with every successive time, they drove the novelty of it into the ground, other gimmicks I can say I disapprove of are surprise encounters, ones that at first glance you don’t expect, now that’s cool the first time around I suppose, but on the second playthrough even, it’s already no longer novel, it’s not exactly a game ruining feature, but I will say that I have found myself sometimes getting mixed up for a few seconds due to the inverse issue of not touching the trigger that starts the encounter because I had already been anticipating it to happen, although this is kind of a bell curve issue solved by having more experience with those sections, idk

There only so many different enemy unit types, having less would simply mean fight the maurader less. Its not like hes a mini boss past his first encounter. He’s simply an elite enemy that takes priority in the combat dance

• two revs don't really mean anything because your dmg output is more than good enough at that point, can always blow up the barrels too
• 1 hell knight and a few mecha zombies is not an issue
• all 3 mancs get instakilled by the axe traps

you gain access to quickswapping immediately after that which makes the rest of the level kinda free

ssg mastery is amazing, lock on is useful if you can't quickswap ig

pit fight is massively overrated too

you can easily save 3 chainsaw pips to instakill 1 manc and then use the pillar in the middle to make the second manc worthless

I for one LOVE buffed Marauders. I love it when they zip upstairs in under one frame to swipe at you at 2x speed and fake out their green attack when shot. I also love that they constantly summon wolves for no reason along with how often they catch up to you.

If I could propose one QoL improvement, it would be that they randomly crashed the game for added challenge.

Possessed marauders changes in 2 ways: damage resistance and extra speed
The resistance is kinda negligible, because you just need to repeat the same thing, and with some restacking via fodder (or other means). This should be no problem
The extra speed isn't a problem on the green eye flash because it goes from being over twice as long as double the average reaction time, to being a bit less than that
Their movement speed can be problematic, but it shouldn't be. With the correct usage of environment and dashes, he can't catch up. You're also able to throw yourself into the air with the meathook to nullify any extra marauder speed, and if he catches up, he'll probably just flash his eyes

I would recommend starting at the lowest difficulty and progressively work your way up it will take a long time but you will get more use to things and expect more of what is going to happen good luck
