It might just be me but I’ve always played doom eternal on low settings to squeeze framerate, especially since the physics are frame dependent, it’s especially a noticeable difference when you factor in speedruns

not exactly sure what you mean by environment behavior, but a lot of stuff is influenced by framerate yes, which does include entity behavior, and a boatload of other things, like weapon switch speed, bunnyhopping timing, meathook speed when going any direction other than directly forward, footgrab speed ( extends to railboost physics ), earlier iterations of the fast dblade tech had frame perfect timing, and on another note frame ballista tech ( the ability to gain fast swap effect on the ballista, where normally only sticky bombs and rockets are feasible ), the chainguns non damage instances when walking into an enemy are also frame dependent, which extends to the chaingun bulldozer tech, dealing 200 damage per frame/simulated frame

That wouldn't work, you need the basic controls to even play it properly.
But I can confirm with mine.

Only reason the N64 controller works is because you can move, look, jump and dash.

If you're missing one of those four, the game is unplayable.

The only advantage that controller has is the fact it has an X and Y button.

So the game actually registers the controller, but you cannot move or look, making it unplayable.

Movement cannot be binded to the Dpad.

It's locked to the Analog Stick, just like how look is both Analog and C buttons.

That's kinda a combo.

Lots of profanity for a simple enemy, memorize his attacks and keep a medium distance with the SSG or Ballista in hand and you'll be fine. My strategy is to stun him with one of these, then quickswap to the other, shoot, quickswap back, shoot, and repeat, while throwing out all my frag grenades at him. You can kill him in 2 or 3 cycles this way, though M1 does it better with his strat

I can't tell you if this is exactly accurate so only do this carefully, you're risking something so don't blame me if it doesn't work. Go to home, press the three lines button (> on 360) on DOOM Eternal and scroll down to Quit. You can avoid this next time by not using the BFG as it breaks this arena.

yes, but not by a large margin, skimming through the stats the largest difference I saw was 25% more damage with the super shotgun, and the most minimal difference I saw being the rocket launcher at an 8% increase, although not a lot it’s not entirely negligible, as 25% is the same damage boost that the icebomb grants when “frostbite” is purchased

a phase with a 1 minute timer with an infinitely respawning cacodemon, respawning two cacodemons about the halfway point
Samur himself, again, but with more obstacles
A possessed pain elemental and possessed dread knight

go to any speedrun of TAG1, any category any place on the leaderboard, the cacodemon phase is always one minute on the samur fight

Ah yes so just stay as close as possible, and most of his attacks are disabled, so all he’ll do are regular sword attacks. Keep your sentinel hammer charged off the zombies (or keep some distance and kill the wolves)

Also remember that one heavy cannon headshot or two body shots will stagger a zombie
