The point of achievements is to encourage players to get everything they can out of the game's experience. And the game, ideally, will be playable for several years to come. I can get achievements for a PS4 game released in 2014 thanks to Playstation's support of them. That isn't the case for a game that has achievements locked behind 1) a multiplayer mode that is already dead by the time you started the game, like with 2016, or 2) a multiplayer mode that could be inaccessible either because of server issues or client-side connection.

ah yes Icon second phase where you fire 5 BFGs on one wave because of the amount of BFG pickups, BFG deals 10000 damage per body part on icon fight, meaning you can deal 50000 damage per theoretical maximum per wave, as opposed to unmaykr which can only deal 29,700 damage because of his resistance when it normally would’ve dealt 90,000, and even if it did deal that much damage, it does it so slowly to the point where your DPS is higher at the cost of higher damage per weapon overall

no joke I can’t think of why they do this to the unmaykr other than straight up hating it

The hunter pair that I had so much trouble with way later on forced me to kill them quickly so I found a way. ||It was that room in Reclaimed Earth with 2 hunters and a cursed prowler|| I learned to blood punch once, SSG/ballista until the sled comes off and then scroll to lock on and that usually put it in a glory kill state

The problem wasn't that. It was the volume of enemies and the intensity I was having trouble with. The ||possessed manc|| would show up and I'd just lose all footing, but if I got passed that, it was the archvile and the rest that would overwhelm me. I eventually got passed all that and had no trouble with the rest of it, but I think it was sitting there for literal hours to where after a while, I was even getting killed by fodder.
