TLDR - you play as the Intern in an Earth-focused sidegame following TAG2. Demons themselves are absent, but the Cultist UAC is still strong and making synthetic demons, and they want to reopen Hell using ancient artifacts the ARC has. The ARC headquarters is invaded and you explore the vast complex in a more Doom 3 styled game, with a focus on progression and open-ended exploration.

I love Doom 3 and yearn for a return to its style. I believe a Metroidvania-styled game is the way to do it, with a focus on exploring a wide complex overrun by demons.

Meathook onto the Cacodemon and jump over it, maybe shoot it in the process, try to keep a good distance from the marauders and keep as much airtime as possible, get rid of the other demons and then focus on the marauder

i don't think it should be "rock paper scissor" type gameplay, everything should at minimum be weak against 2 guns and every gun should be good against 2 enemies
and that's a minimum, they should also just do different things and not be like spirits or stimps where you just can't really do anything else and they have specific weakness to x gun

The FTC document at the time of submittal was likely STILL the official road map for zenimax studios even if the target dates where incorrect. So I just beat Doom Eternal on Ultra-Violence. Despite this being a very bad idea for me to try, I ended up doing it anyway and it went surprisingly slightly well. I died more than I usually do in this game but I still had like twenty something lives left when i beat it. I just got consistently very lucky, with tons of close calls where i survived with low health. Still a fun experience tho :3

The Empyrean Keys are a reward that is given when you complete a Slayer Gate in the base campaign.
There are 6 Slayer Gates in the base campaign, so there are 6 Empyrean Keys.
When you collect all 6 Empyrean Keys, you can unlock the Unmaykr, which is located at the Fortress of Doom's second floor of the opposite-most section of the portal.

There is a mod which would suit you I think, you need to get the Midnight skin first aka finish the campaign, and the mod replaces that skin with the HEV suit. Get the helmetless Slayer mod too, and your Slayer is very close to Gordon Freeman

hey @strange gale remember that cheater goataxy? well turns out he actually WAS playing on nightmare, I mean he was still lying about gameplay mods but I’m honestly surprised he held up his integrity on that point at least, because tyrants only have enough tokens for their lazer attack ultra violence and above, halfway through his 8 tyrants video he gets hit with a lazer, it does 76 damage ( nightmare damage, I tested it ) but he had a lot of armor around him so he recovers from it pretty quickly

It's because Cacodemons have 2500 health, while fully-charged Destroyer Blade deals 2400 damage

E1M1 gives you Combat Shotgun and Heavy Cannon with both weapon mods, which I assume is designed so that the player uses both weapon mods and not just stick to one of them, but it doesn't seem to do any sort of remedies to their damage output or just the mod switching speed

You also start with 0 Praetor Suit Points so it's not like the mod is telling you to pick up the fast hands upgrade

So it ended up being a routing-kind of weapon

I don’t know how you do it but the optimal strat is meathooking into the building that you normally go to after you finish the last fight of that building, you should be able to hit the death barrier and be spawned there

I get my speed by meat hooking a zombie on a building before and then I have time for my meat hook to regenerate and I use it on tyrant to jump where the fight doesn't count then. They will despawn

ballista boosting? just gain a bit of air time by jumping, and fire your ballista in the opposite of the direction you want to go so the recoil launches you, and it’s best to turn around immediately after gaining your momentum from the shot, you can double jump to elongate the time you’re airborne and maintain that speed, although if you think you can do it, bunnyhopping is a good choice, considering the speed fall off takes a while

What are your guys’ go to quick switch combos? For long range I default to PB Ballista, Medium range I use PB rocket (or long range against a slow enemy) and close range I oscillate between SSB ballista and SSG PB

Usually I PB Ballista doom hunters at long range, but always get close with a remote det and grenade falter combo so i can get a safe blood punch in and then SSG as i back dash

there was that one patch early on where they gave specifically precision bolt an uncancelable cooldown to "patch" quickswapping, in reality that never would've been enough since there's so many other ways to get fast state

the change was ass and people hated it so they reverted it pretty much immediately

That’s true, but i find you can kill them in the same time or faster by quick swapping without eating all your rockets

I think lock on is phenomenal in cultist base but usually when i get concussive blast on remote det in DHB i switch

a solid argument on why remote det against lock on isn’t very good, first, it’s peak potential damage is only 66% of what a direct rocket hit can do, there are a few exceptions to this, like pinkies, which take extra damage from it. it provides a soft falter when fully upgraded, which means it cannot be chained with any other falter, meaning it is ridiculously situational and can only be used as an opening.
