Davoth has none of his powers during TAG2. They were taken from him when the Father defeated him; they're finite. The Slayer has them now, which is why Davoth is using a mech in TAG2 - he's compensating.

2. Basically rise from the core of Hell itself (Pain Elementals, possibly Archviles)
3. Exist as assimilated species from other worlds. (Possessed, Gargoyles, Blood Maykrs)

Davoth is intrinsically linked to Hell - he exists as its core, much like how the Father is Urdak's core.

Without its core, Hell's residents can't leave the place. All demons outside Hell are vaporized, disconnected from their home realm.

and then i played doom 3 and actually enjoyed it (i only played the first 2 maps of doom 64, i got bored after that. unfortunately, doom 64 isnt for me. it lacks the charm of the other classic doom games)

then i played some of eternal and it was AWESOME

and then i played 2016 and it was also amazing but i just really wanted to play eternal instead knowing i had it right there

so i abandoned 2016 halfway through to finish eternal and it was the best thing i've ever played

i still like classic doom more, but eternal is sooooo good and i love both

i remember i liked the intro for 2016 way more than eternal though

That’s unfortunate; coming from a UN completionist myself, the Unmaykr is an essential part of my gameplay and is very useful for eliminating high priority threats, really quick. You need to obtain all the slayer keys and do all the slayer gates to get it in the Fortress of Doom.

i think once you get to an elite level, things are looked at differently. to a casual/not masterful player, the lack of a HUD can mean a lot. another thing to manage while they’re actively managing everything else. conscious competence, they’re good but not in the true fun zone of unconscious competence. where they just do and know instinctually

it’s like anything in life. things we are experts on, or even things we see as easy - to others, it’s a new frontier

you’re very experienced with multiple restrictive challenge runs - ideally someone could go no hud if they’re pretty solid at the game, but especially if someone hasn’t tried it and they’re used to the visual cues, it’ll be a shake up , at least at first

Just keep playing it, learn which weapons work best against which enemies and learn how to line enemies up so you have to only deal with one at a time. Archviles are pretty easy because they don't move around much, just step around their firewall and hit them with the Unmakyr or something, but be careful of their kicks, they can kick like a racehorse.

Full auto vs sticky bombs, full auto is close range, has spread, deals 320 damage, sticky bomb is long range, has splash, breaks weakpoints, deals 400 damage
Precision bolt vs micromissiles
Micromissiles is long range, has splash, disadvantage of limited fire until mastered, if you dump every volley into an enemy with max ammo it’ll deal 9450 damage, 12600 with primary charger. Precision bolt is long range, hitscan, breaks weakpoints, and is good in combos, every volley combined is 12000 damage, only 600 less than primary charger.
Microwave beam vs heat blast ( spoiler they kinda both suck )
Microwave beam, limits your movement, deals negligible damage, only works on a single enemy, heat blast, breaks weakpoints, takes a lot of ammo and a lot of time to charge, can theoretically deal 2800 damage pre hotswapper and 1400 post hotswapper.
Remote det vs lock on.
Remote det only soft falters, takes more precision for less payoff, deals 600 damage at most which is almost never. Lock on, deals 2700 damage in a single volley, will pretty much hard falter any enemy it hits just by reaching their damage threshold, less precision but more rewarding payoff.
Arbalest vs destroyer blade
Arbalest can only hit one enemy, deal 1600 damage, extra damage against flying demons. Destroyer blade can hit multiple enemies, deals 2400 damage when fully charged, ammo efficiency goes through the roof per enemy you catch with its absolutely massive hitbox.
Mobile turret vs energy shield
Okay firsts things first with the energy shield, the chaingun sucks at damage more than the heavy cannon does. Mobile turret only deals 4320 damage before you’re out of ammo, and energy shields gig is it makes you invulnerable to every attack except for mancubus and dread knight ground hazards.

okay so i need help because this bullshit is really pissing me off. so i have no internet at home, no big deal. so i beat doom eternal getting every single collectible and when i got back online NONE of the achievements synced. (xbox one) ive done this with other games and they always sync although for doom eternal its been days and NOTHING has synced. online, i found that this is the work of bethesda not fixing this bug and the “only” way to get those achievements is to delete your entire game save data and start all over again. this is annoying as fuck and fuck bethesda for not fixing this. does anyone know if theres any other way to get those achievements? like, if i killed the khan maykr in replaying a mission will the “kill the khan maykr” achievement go through?
