I finally got around to playing DE again after around 2 years of break due to my garbage laptop, didn't manage to play the DLCs back then.

Started the game over from the beginning, and now I'm at the Dark Lord fight and uhh... wow this boss fight kinda sucks?

Like it's not hard or super difficult, it's just unfair, slow, unenjoyable and just boring in general.

I can definitely see what the developers were trying to do for this fight, it's a mirror match between the Doom Slayer and his creator, but I think they sort of over-tuned the fight to the point where it's just not a fun fight to play with.

I don't think bosses has ever been Doom franchise's strongest point (that goes into the arenas), but at least on 2016 and Eternal, every bosses before the Dark Lord has been at least an enjoyable one.

Like I think Marauder is a fine enemy and all (I was never on the "he's a badly-designed enemy" boat on release) but having his boss equivalent to just straight up be invulnerable to everything and heals himself for any sort of mistake you made is just not fun

I did hear Youtubers saying that they really don't like this fight, and I thought that they were just exaggerating on how bad it is, but wow they were right.

I don't think I can sit through this entire fight, I did hear a rework mod for this fight a long time ago so I'll look into that.

i already tried to figure out how to clear but time constraints with PE, Caco and DH which is pretty hard to beat

and kept failing

well what i did first was FB and chainsaw zombie, arbalest on caco and PE and the most harder to beat is DH

or FB and CS zombie, SB on caco, arba on PE, while i tried to aim arba or RL at DH sled

since using BFG to clear secret encounter would be my only last resort

but ammo for bfg is too precious for me, and very rarely used

yet i'll try to figure out again at 2nd encounter ar beating marood

1st is doom hunter, cacodemon, pain elemental, zombie

2nd is marood

There's also the issue of Master Levels resetting the entire loadout's equipped mods to the first listed mod of the weapon

I had to change my refresh rate for my monitor cause I have a 1440P 144 HZ and the base setting was at 60 HZ so I changed that and the screen tearing went away

there's the 2x lower arms, 2x shoulder, 2x chest, stomach and head, totaling to 8 parts

you just focus on one part as much as possible until it breaks

I'm fighting the icon of sin rn and a tyrant just spawned but I didn't want to deal with it tbh so I pulled out my crucible to 1 shot it but then it fucking targets the soldier next to it instead

This game actually hates me, made me use the crucible on a soldier

It tends to also make me do a blood punch even when I'm staring at a GK state enemy which is really annoying

And the meat hook has a ton more targeting issues
