They're not related in terms of species. Pain Elementals are borne from Hell soil, whereas Cacodemons are descendants of ancient Hell giants.

Zombified entities are stricken with an urge to create Gore Nests and undergo rituals that empower them. Gore Nests serve as temporary lifelines to Hell that demons can use to get to where they are invading.
Demons cannot randomly teleport to a world. They need a pre-existing method, like getting in through teleportation tech. Urdak would help them by transporting them to worlds under their rule. In 2016, the demons you fight all come from the holding pens on Mars or from Gore Nests until Olivia opens the portal on the Argent Tower. In Eternal the invasion begins with zombified humans and UAC Cultist amalgamations until the construction of the Super Gore Nest allowed for largescale invasion from Hell forces.

This is typically how Hell invasions work. Small-scale initial invasion with a goal to enable largescale hordes.

In Doom's canon, the multiverse is something the Slayer has already traversed using Hell as a waystation, and there is only one Slayer.
It's basically just shit they made up to justify having skins. It isn't really relevant.

Hello guys, since yesterday I joined the game's Discord for a question/help that I had for a long time. Since I bought Doom Eternal you could get the Original Skins for Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 3 by synchronizing your Bethesda account with the game, the first 2 worked for me but not in Doom 3 or Doom 3 BFG Edition for PC/Steam to obtain the Red/Crimson Skin for Doom Eternal What editions of Doom 3 does it work for to get this Skin?

And on what platforms?

There wasn't even a chance that Bethesda could make any of these 2 editions sync by connecting to the internet like in Doom or Doom 2

Doom 1 and 2 works with the modern ports, but not whatev they did with doom 3 in steam. The gamepass versions work. The mobile versions I believe work also. And as said before, the switch one

i need some pointers on how to beat the secret encounter in the arc complex, the encounter with the cacodemon and the pain elemental, and the arachnotron. i can kill the cacodemon and the arachnotron, but not the pain elemental, it takes too long

Honestly i just used the plasma rifle with the heat blast mod, but focus on the pain elemental since its tougher

2 lock on burst kills pain elemental, or 2 Arbalest shots.

2 ssg shots + a little extra (precision bolt most likely) kills Arachnotron.

1 sticky -> glory kill
Or 2 ballista
Or 1 arbalest
Or 1 lock on kills the caco

If lost souls block any shots against the pain elemental it might take a little bit extra just generally that should make it pretty simple.

Alternatively if you get 3 chainsaw and come back to that encounter, kill the arach + caco and just chainsaw the pain ele

Not really, it’s still only useful for individual enemies and has spread fire requiring you to be close up, if the bfg didn’t exist itd still kinda blow steamy weenies

I am of the opinion that there is no bad weapon in doom eternal

I get use out of every weapon, even the ones that are considered among the weakest like the plasma rifle
