Archvile and marauder just take practice. I used to hate the marauder too but he's one of my fav enemies now. Same with archvile. Both can be killed quickly and efficiently in multiple different ways but you gotta combo your shit together.

I use dazed and confused + air control + equipment fiend so I'd say D&C.

Blood fueled is also really good and very popular. more mobility is always a plus especially if you combine it with bunnyhopping, yeethooking, etc.
Personally I find the inconsistent move speed kind messes me up sometimes or I fail to properly take advantage of the speed boost but I haven't played with BF much.

Savagery is not bad either because the faster glory kills will give you armor on meathook glory kills more often and it can help prevent you being surrounded (and ofc some people just prefer the glory kills to be faster).

Punch & Reave is okay, i guess, but the thing about that rune is that you will already get health for all kill if you are low HP so it's a little redundant imo.

Seek and destroy is kinda unnecessary imo, since you have meathook and dash and GK/CS already have a decent range. I think that dazed & confused is better for ensuring you are able to get glory kills than S&D.

don't really see much use for any others and find chrono strike actively detrimental

hey, re: marauder and archvile, it's normal to find them hard and you definitely don't need to learn SLOB to beat them.

Your opinion might change if you do a second a playthrough and get a little better at the game. some tips for now tho...

the marauder:

• you can actually chip away at him with sticky bombs beside/behind the shield in between parries
  -you can block all of his moves with the chaingun shield, and if you dash into him with it while he's not blocking (without shooting the chaingun) it will do a little damage to him.
  -ignore what the game says about "mid range". run away from him, he will do a ranged attack, maybe two. Then he will come running towards you. if he's running towards you, he's most likely gonna do the green-eyes "Shing" melee so be ready. he will sometimes run besides you and shotgun you instead.
  -the dog is summoned when he blocks shots from both you & other demons.
  -you can pretty much outrun him indefinitely so if you're low hp just evade him and restack off some fodder.

Archvile: -these guys are pretty tanky, but once you get better at quickswapping you can burn him quickly all different ways.
-the simplest way to kill them without using superweapons is upgraded ice bomb->2x lockon burst. if you gotta save the crucible for them right now, that's alright. def a valid use for it.
-blood punch is really good against them because it will falter them, interrupting any abilities, it will break their fire shield, and it does 1000 dmg. go in on them with the chaingun shield for the punch, that way, you can be shooting, blocking, and dash smashing him too.
-ballista primary fire on a full health archvile will always falter him as long as its not stopped by the shield.
-don't waste too much time fighting buffed demons, only kill what you have to in order to get to archvile.
-frag grenades are also v good to use on him if not freezing him.
-unmaykr will absolutely destroy him esp. if he is frozen.
-he can't flame you if youre airborne

sometimes I definitely find it worth modswapping to arbalest for groups of cacos or pain elementals. you can't always get the cacos in a nice straight line or safely charge up a dblade. arbalest + chaingun shield quicklaunch combos are also really nice. safely destroys pain elementals if you launch the shield, follow up with a rocket, and then meathook->GK or SSG blast for the kill.

since you can cancel the modswap animation with a bloodpunch or just take a moment to swap as you're circling the arena i don't think the time is a huge deal. obviously if you can get a big group of cacos with 1 dblade that's better but you can't always.

uhhhhhhhh honestly both werent really hard for me since i completed the world spear master level on UN not long ago and that took me a lot of practice, but maybe tag 2 is a bit harder

i highly recommend doing the dark lord level on nightmare like twice before you finish it on UN so you memorise his movement and behaviour
