Don't put too much attention at levels in battlemode because levels doesn't necessarily mean they are good at it

Also, if you want to be good at slayer in battlemode you need to learn some techniques that can take some time. Slayer can be difficult to master

levels get pretty inflated because you get xp by playing the campaign and stuff, im level 50 and ive beat the game like twice

I think its a great way to end it for now. Hes not obviously dead, Hes basically in fact, resting, probably for the first time in ages. He killed the darklord, severing all connections to the mortal realm, he basically ensured no demonic life exits hell again.

But hey, thats my take on this. Hell could possibly open again akin to doom 1 where some science corpo experimenting with portals or smthing. Whether accidental or purposeful, they could find a way to open a gate to hell possibly.

I tried the arbalest pause jump thing but it doesnt work, in a YT video it seems to reset the animation so you can fire again but in fact, it doesnt happen. Guess they fixed it.

If you're talking about pause boosting it's definitely still in current patch. If you're not getting enough height, it's possible you're not unpausing/pausing fast enough, or something else is at play.

Also as far as resources to learn etc, the speedrunning discord is a great place to find any/all strats, skips, glitches, what have you. Can't link directly but the link to the discord should be on the Doom Eternal leaderboards for SRC

And you don't need to fire again (as in press the fire button).

You should only ever have to "fire" once (the initial arbalest shot). As soon as that shot happens you pause, swap mods in the menus, unpause+pause quickly, swap mod, repeat.

If you need to, id recommend practicing by not even trying to jump before doing the pause boost. Just try and get multiple shots off after only pressing fire once for the arbalest. You can tell if it works based on if you're using more than 25 plasma ammo.
