yeah I know whats its like thats what I do currently but I want to switch it up and incorporate a new tool that looks fun to use

When you watch high level players use it they dont just pop it as a shield and then hide and run away they use it as a sort of short term invincibility so they can go right into the shit and pump out as much damage as possible. They also use the shield itself as a weapon with the different ways it dishes out damage

I never use the dogs to get hammer back. You shoot one regular heavy cannon shot at the zombies in the head and that staggers them so you can glory kill. 2 Glory kills = full hammer

HELP: My game is moderately modded with about 20 mods (some new textures/sounds and a few gameplay altering mods). My game stays at about 200 fps on Ultra settings but constantly will stutter every 3-5 seconds. Never have any crashes or errors. FPS counter doesn't say any drops but it is very obviously stuttering often. Had this problem for ages. Only time it seemingly disappeared is when I got rid of all mods and did a fresh reinstall of the game. Anyone know what, specifically, could be causing this and/or how to fix it?

i recommend to make the heavy cannon in the most easily accessible key and keep ssg, rocket, ballista, combat shotgun close to ur movement keys

since those weapons are important for your combos and you want to be as efficient as possible for max dmg and ttk

the rest is original, and the tweaks are usually pretty major. Super gore nest is the least edited level in the campaign because the master level is already so good. Even levels you could say that are "copied" have had all of their encounters heavily redesigned, with new secrets, new encounters, new enemy introductions, etc.

if i remember correctly meathook swings are insane in battlemode. so you can launch yourself with that or ballista boost away. easier said than done in combat but if out damaging him isnt on the table just utilize the portals too. BUT, what i absolutely abused in battlemode to beat some of the best players is chainsaw. choose the chainsaw perk between rounds. use it as invincibility to ride out stuff like berserker. plus, unlike normal eternal in battlemode meathooking into a demon and chainsawing them still gives armor

also very useful to ride out duo loot blocks

for the dread knights you have to be more aggressive at first and get them down immediately, if you can't, use the teleporters on the map to out maneuver them. Don't over use it or they will adapt. Use meathook, and also jump pads. The lag on the server will make them appear farther than they are so give yourself extra room. You should also kill demons and sit on the extra health and armor drops so it buffers you if you have to 1v1 them.

You have to outlast their berserk, but they take extra damage so use your ssg

Dread knights do actually play how the game says. I should know because it really is a high risk, high reward. Be cautious and keep a good distance.

Like someone else said, chainsaw and GK animations will help you outlast them

Basically when they are in berserk, you have to be on defense, when they aren't, go on offense

learn to bboost around the map using jump pads and they can't touch you. Vertical meathooks will help as well as long as they aren't already locked onto you.

Also at the beginning of the round, use the teleporter immediately to get a sneak attack

If there is a tag team dread knight/ pain elemental you could hook on the elemental for an escape route. Or a caco, as long as it's a flying demon our of the dreadknights range.

You have to take them out immediately. Don't do anything at the beginning of the round but rush the DK.

One of the best things you can do is to go all in for the dreadknight before it gets berserk and put it low on life, so he cannot just go oonga boonga on you

Learning to play against dreadknight requires a lot of focus on your health and his berserk. you need to be on top and make sure you are stacked. You cannot just go trying to kill them. Remember, dread is strong but also very fragile. Movement as said above is key to be able to escape when he goes in

In fact, not sure if it's a hot take, but Nekravol alone sweeps most other Hell depictions we've seen in Doom. Blood Swamps and Immora are the cherry on top.

Nekravol's the only time in modern Doom we've seen Hell actually portrayed as a lived-in civilization. It's the perfect modernization of the places we see in OG Doom's Hell.

Having to be intelligent to be classified as a "demon" isn't explicitly said in material, moreso applying taxonomy to the creatures so it's less confusing. The Codex files separate "intelligent" demons like Imps from "wildlife" like Cacodemons and Pinkies, and the Eternal Lorebook shows us the demons are very capable of intelligent thought and regard wildlife as food and/or infantry.

It's easy for us to group them all under one umbrella, but this would be like calling a dog a human just because it lives on Earth.

Crucibles are a shortcut to kicking a Titan's ass. It keeps them in stasis, not death, but it's much easier than actually killing them, which can be done.

The Great One's skeleton is in the Titan's Realm, and Doomguy kills the Icon of Sin in Doom 2. Neither were with a Crucible.

This is why Hayden is so distressed in Urdak about it. As the Icon stays on Earth, reality warps around it further.
