Immora is definitely "location based", but you can miss some triggers either by going too high or by generally missing/skipping some triggers. It's... weird.

Reclaimed Earth I'm not entirely sure if there's many that can be skipped/missed but again, I think it's a "location based" trigger.

World Spear is MOSTLY location based, however there's a few spots where the trigger is actively picking up an armor piece

and if you're at full armor you can't trigger the spawns of some enemies unless you hurt yourself to then pick up the armor

but then in TAG2 you had WEIRD fights. Like, some major fights could be skipped/didn't contribute anything, but "2 soldiers in a hallway" counted

So THAT was a big shitstorm too, cause all of a sudden a lot of "valid 100% runs" were theoretically invalid?

Hey Everyone. I'm new here and just started playing Doom Eternal a few days ago. I just finished beating the game on Ultra-Violence and wanted to start working towards completing the game on Ultra-Nightmare. I can beat the first few levels but I'm sure that I still need to improve a lot in all areas of play. I've seen some YT videos about some of the mechanics like weapon swapping. Would anyone be able to recommend some good YT videos to watch or maybe even some tips on how to practice to improve?

Gladiator is just strafe to left and shoot in the first half then quick switch in the second but there’s also a strat to stagger them and then wait for them to recover and then shoot a lock on burst

When I did the gladiator fight, I did the first section thinking that was gonna be it, and it felt like a slightly tankier marauder, and then The 2nd phase came, which was pretty annoying but you just have to make sure you're always moving

Yes. If you check damage values using console, or just test it via "shots to kill", SSG to the front of a Pinky can't really kill it fast despite being able to 1 shot them from behind. Specters, on the other hand, can get shot by an SSG in the front and die that way.

So in terms of which is "easier to kill" depends on the criteria. Pinkys are easier/possible to 1 shot than Specters, but Specters have no damage resistance so you don't have to do anything fancier other than "shoot them in the face".

I played the game yesterday for first time and I see the Shotgun and Super Shotgun are still seperated slots. There is no way to have it like in doom 2 that they share their slots on one keybind? 😦

I mean that was cool about UT2004 and similar games. in UT2004 I could make the keybind in a ini file to actually combine weapons into 1 slot afterwards. I didnt need that, but a few people used it for flak and rockets being on one slot

One of my preferences would have been to separate blood punch from glory or melee

and another preference was to allow me to press 1 for shotgun and press 1 again to switch the Mod

instead of Super shotgun and shotgun together

a live system, enemies making a cartoony ''POP!'' sound when their heads explode, the cartoony and vivid graphics and question marks used to represent secrets

not to mention the collectibles that allows you to view models are literal toys

Doom 3 is canon to the Doom multiverse.

Its story takes place in a separate universe from the original Earth and Eternal's Earth, so most of the story is irrelevant to the Slayer. The Hell we see in Doom 3 is the same Hell we see in the other games though, and 3's lore makes reference to the original Doomguy and his adventures after Doom 64.
