like ye Warhammer 40k powerarmor being made of hardened ceramite which is the same material they used for Constructing their city so they are like walking Walls. Space Marines are obv defined by the strength of the marine itself ofc 2 hearts and other upgrades in its body, mostly extra organs to avoid Physical Trauma and enhance physical attributes. Space marines aren't even human at how augmented they are

Star craft obv being more grounded sense it uses a mix of Uranium and Titanium, another hunky suit and worn just by normal humans (mainly prisoners cause it cost less)

The way I explain it to people, imagine you're doing "quick swaps" between a weapon and punch. So after the punch you need to repress the weapon bind

And on higher difficulties, you might get shat on by whatever you're shooting at (most likely an Archie, Tyrant, or Baron) anyways

It's ok against Arachs and Mancubi since technically those can die/glory kill in two ssg shots, but again, assuming ALL pelletsh it

As for what it actually IS, punch swapping is when you swap between a weapon and punching to skip the "cooldown" of the weapon firerates.

It's like quick swapping, except you can do it with a single weapon. It's most useful for Precision Bolt in Hell on Earth, but it has a few niche uses here and there on other parts.

I mean when I tried to do UN cultist based on the same mod, I killed 4 maurauders but died to 1 archie (and a few other things), the michealwave beam would've made that easy af.

It's also useful when you force yourself to not rely on the chaingun shield and learn to dodge with aircontrol (it's not just randomly pressing a or d)

I have a logitec controller that works on the tests on windows and within steam. It is activated for steam and it is activated in the menu of doom eternal but it is totally unresponsive when i start the game?

It definitely isn't just an opinion. In 2016 it wasn't op because you had ssg - remote det - gauss alpha combo, in particular with instant siege.

In Eternal, you have any number of quick swaps, but even just precision bolt punch swaps would be better than mobile turret, and that's considering an unupgraded PB vs. fully mastered mobile turret

Consider the ttk is better, and the fact that each mobile turret shot does 24x4 per shot, so about 96 per ammo, whereas PB does about 100 per ammo, so it's also more ammo efficient.

If they don't get stun locked the first time just back up and retry until they do get stun locked pretty much. If they end up blocking your shots, you can keep shooting to at least make sure they don't actually do an axe swing on you.

Tl;Dr, it can stagger demons but it also does less damage than unmodified rockets. So remote det is a DPS loss and usually isn't worth it

The only change remote det really needs is to just not do less damage.

It does 400 splash compared to 600 splash from base rockets. With explosive array, it does 200 more, but also for SOME reason, remote det explosions have severe damage drop off compared to base rocket explosions, so they usually do like... 100 splash damage

It's ridiculous in practice.

There's a difference between liking weapons and objectively talking about their effectiveness.

One of my favorite weapon mods actually is Mobile Turret. But in Doom Eternal it's pretty much useless compared to other alternatives.

For someone new and who doesn't know how to quick swap, it's the best hit scan dps I suppose. And it's technically better than Micro Missiles without Primary Charger. But it also requires it to be fully upgraded + mastered, same as Micro Missiles

Whereas Precision Bolt swaps are better time to kill, more ammo efficient, and don't require any weapon points
