Yes, they spawn infinitely. The exact amount varies arena to arena, but if you're being swarmed then it's better to focus on the heavies than to spend an infinite amount of time killing the infinite fodder.

unless you have the slowdown rune you need a super precise input combo and hope the stick doesnt snap and doesnt give you the wrong weapon (if your controller is old and starts to have snapback ofc)

Specially in Horde mode where i want to use the Chaingun shield to save my life but because it snapped backwards when i released it i pull out the BFG and accidentally ruin my point bonus.

That's true, but from what I observe in-game the modded skins have quite a bit of visible damage to them, enough to keep the destructible demons system intact. The only turn off might be that every demon has the same inside, but I don't find that very big of a problem either

I felt that way last night. Delayed inputs etc. My controller often recognizes the swap (paddle) input before the trigger squeeze. So I often don’t get to shoot my SSG. I noticed my ice bomb didn’t go out until after I’d input my grenade throw as well. Or vice versa.

I think there comes a point in this game's skill progression where you just stop thinking about scenarios as a whole and just focus on things one at a time, because you don't have time to think at all in higher difficulty content (unless you've mapped out the level in advance of course). Enemy AI just starts to break, and you start auto piloting without any real cure.

It's really killed the game for me, especially because I play much worse when I'm not being challenged engaged*

ds1 is "clunkier" in that you have 4 rolling directions while locked on, and lots of things have more windup & recovery than you'd expect (also applies to bosses), so each decision has to be very deliberate

i'd say ds3 is harder overall because you have to make more decisions over time (simply put, it's faster), but ds1 will really trip you up if you roll or attack carelessly

Try standing on top of the coin itself, on the dome. The hellknights freeze because of their puny ai not being able to comprehend you being on top of it. Taking out the cyber becomes easy from that point onwards, double LOB one and BP the other two.

It's always tight in terms of ammo requirements and leaves you ill for the next dhunter/baron phase

Been playing this game for months, finished it three times in Hurt Me Plenty, took a break since Bethesda removed their client, started again yesterday to try and get another HMP 100% save. This is how I play being rusty, which is basically the same as I played after beating the campaign those first 3 times. Yep, I'm really bad at this, and I swear I'm trying

The arbalest is good for cacos and pain elementals, and also good for stunning an archvile. I was using the arbalest far more until I realized how powerful the destroyer blade truly is. The more you play the more you'll get an idea of which mods are useful for which situations.

Well if you TECHNICALLY wanted to skip the fire animation, you can go in game and change the skins that way.

Either through photo mode in mission select, or through the weapon menu itself I believe.

Photo mode also lets you swap slayer skins on the fly i believe.

That said that requires loading into a level so THEORETICALLY you'd have to count the amount of seconds loading into a level takes, compared to each second spent to swap each cosmetic.

such a baffling decision to not add any quality of life feature to skip those battery animations. I know it's probably because they're not a cutscene but at least picking up new weapons/batteries can be skipped by using weapon swap/mod swap. And they could have easily made it a skippable cutscene just like the battery animations in Exultia. I feel sorry for speedrunners who have to spend all that time in the fortress every run just waiting for unskippable animations to complete

There's actually no damage falloff, it's just the spread that affects most off SSG's damage consistency.

Which is still atrocious and can never be trusted yes, so it's still balanced all-right 👍

There is damage fall off. If you check the damage values via console commands you'll see that each individual pellet does do less damage the further the enemy is
